A dining table is the most honest piece of furniture you own — it meets water rings, hot pans and homework. Dense solid hardwood is built for that duty: full-thickness boards take daily knocks without complaint, and spills wipe away before they settle in. Shaped from solid boards, these tables can be sanded and refreshed for generations.
Sizing a table that earns its place
Leave about a chair-width of walking space around the table — 36 inches is comfortable — and count on 24 inches of table edge per seat. Every size here is cut to order, so if the room asks for two more inches, the workshop obliges.
