Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.
These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.
Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.
Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.
Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

The piece
Built from solid teak with a hand-finished top, this console was drawn for the entryway — forty inches of surface, twelve of depth, standing at greeting height. The boards are dried twenty days in a controlled kiln so the top does not open a seam the first winter the furnace runs. It is solid teak throughout, oiled by hand, with no veneer to chip where a hip brushes past daily.
The worry with an entry piece is the hallway squeeze, so this one holds a full display on a slim twelve-inch footprint and still leaves the path clear. It anchors the entry the way a hearth anchors a living room: garland in December, gourds in October, flowers the rest of the year. Ten years of seasons cross this table, and it tells a guest the house was put together with care.
No fireplace, no problem. Garland runs the length of the teak, stockings hang from the front edge, and the nativity takes the center. Through a month of parties the top wipes clean of candle wax and pine sap, and the entry becomes the season's headquarters.
Four times a year the whole family restyles the console — tulips in March, shells in June, gourds in October. The table stays put while the year moves across it, the same surface a six-year-old will restyle at sixteen.
One evening each December the holiday cards get written standing up at the console, stamps in a bowl, a mug of cocoa steaming at the corner of the slab. The ring it leaves wipes away before the last envelope is licked.

Tight, straight, even grain runs the full length of the tabletop — the calm figure that made teak the wood collectors ask for by name, warm against the soft creams and rich browns of a farmhouse entry.
Teak carries its own natural oils. Artisans hand-rub more into the top and legs, deepening the golden tone to a warm satin — a surface that smells of wood on the day it arrives, never of lacquer curing in the hall.
At roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, with some of the lowest shrinkage of any hardwood, the console top stays flat and true through every season it stages, even as forced-air heat dries the entry each winter.
Left outdoors, teak weathers to a refined silver-grey — a surface change only. Indoors it deepens toward caramel instead, and a light sanding and fresh oil bring the top back to gold anytime you choose.
Boards are pulled one at a time by a thirty-year selector and matched by tone across the top. Stock with twist, hidden checks, or dull figure never makes the cut.
Top and frame are traced from templates, then cut slightly proud of the line — leaving material for the handwork on every edge.
Surfaces and edges are sanded by hand through five successive grits until the front edge feels right against an open palm.
Oil goes on in thin coats, buffed between each. The maker checks joints, level, and finish before the console leaves the workshop.
One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.
