Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.
These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.
Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.
Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.
Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

The piece
The designers gave this bench a proper backrest and clean, load-bearing lines, then left the live edge and grain to speak for themselves. An artisan selects each teak board for figure and strength, shapes the seat and rest by hand, and sands every surface a hand will find — solid teak throughout, joined wood to wood, nothing that racks loose after a winter left outdoors.
It holds a garden path through summer rain and a hallway through winter slush, and it is the seat people drift toward without being told. Leave it out and it silvers to driftwood-grey, a paper-thin surface layer; scrub and re-oil each spring and it stays gold — both are right, and the choice stays yours year after year.
The first mild Saturday of the year, and the bench is already dry and waiting on the patio. Coffee steams, the beds are still bare dirt, and the whole garden gets planned from this seat before the season starts.
Set inside the hallway on a January morning, it catches the daily churn — laces tied, backpacks dropped, the dog leashed — and the backrest turns waiting for everyone into sitting, comfortably, out of the slush.
Late-June dusk, dishes done, the yard going dark. Two people and fifty-one inches of teak watch the fireflies come up, the seat still warm from the afternoon sun, and nobody suggests going inside just yet.

Tight, straight, even grain runs the length of the seat and up the backrest — the calm figure that made teak the wood boat builders never argue about, holding its line through rain, frost, and August sun.
Teak carries its own natural oils and silica — the reason it lives outdoors without paint or sealer, the same chemistry that kept ship decks sound for centuries. We hand-rub more into the seat, deepening the tone to a warm satin.
At roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, with shrinkage about half of oak's, the seat and legs stay flat and true through the wet-dry cycle of coastal salt air and a hard winter freeze.
Left outside untouched, teak weathers to a driftwood silver-grey in six to twelve months — a paper-thin surface layer only. A light sanding and fresh oil bring the golden seat back whenever you want it.
Teak boards are pulled one at a time by selectors with thirty years at the stacks, matched across seat and backrest, then kiln-dried twenty days — the heat drives out moisture and any insect eggs. Stock with twist, checks, or dull figure never makes the cut.
Seat and backrest are traced from templates, then bandsawn slightly proud of the line — the live edge left for the handwork ahead.
The seat is sanded through successive grits until bare legs and open palms find nothing but smooth wood.
Oil goes on in thin coats, buffed between each. The maker checks joints, level, and load before the bench is signed out.
One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.
