Natural wood, one piece at a time

Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.

General care

These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Dimensions & assembly

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.

Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.

Shipping & returns

Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.

Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

Solid teak · Tree trunk vanity

A tree trunk, warm where tile runs cold

The piece

Plate I
Plate II

The vanity that makes the bathroom the most honest room in the house.

This vanity begins as solid teak blocks, joined and shaped into a live-edge form with the wood's own movement left visible. The designers held the 30-inch proportions square and calm; the makers shaped, sanded, and sealed every surface by hand — teak, the wood commercial spas trust in rooms far wetter than any home bath, not a laminate box that swells at the first leak under the trap.

A bathroom is the one room that greets you cold — tile underfoot, porcelain at the basin, nothing that holds warmth at 6 am. This is teak instead, warm to the palm like the bench in a gym steam room. The black specks people fear on bath wood are mildew feeding on soap film, not the wood itself; rinse and run the fan and it stays sound, and it stays yours.

  • Sturdy 30-inch counter height holds a vessel sink or basin
  • Open shelving keeps towels and daily bottles within reach
  • 18-inch depth drops into a standard bathroom layout
  • Solid teak takes steam and splash the way spa benches do
  • Settles into farmhouse, rustic, or modern baths alike

It fits real homes.

The unhurried morning

The unhurried morning

6:45 am, the house still dark. Warm water running, a towel pulled from the open shelf, a palm resting on a live edge that was a tree — the day starts on wood instead of cold porcelain.

Bath night duty

Bath night duty

Two kids in the tub on a Tuesday, you perched on the vanity's edge with a washcloth, bottles lined on the shelf below. Splashes hit the sealed teak and bead up; it is the one surface in the room that shrugs off a soaked-bathmat night.

The dinner-party detour

The dinner-party detour

A guest slips out to wash up before the roast is carved and comes back mid-sentence: where did you find that vanity? In a farmhouse dining crowd it happens often enough to be a routine.

Teak, up close.

Grain that reads quiet

Tight, straight, even grain runs across the counter and down the trunk face — the calm, consistent figure that made teak the wood collectors ask for by name, and the same wood that has held up in commercial steam rooms for a century.

Grain that reads quiet

The finish nature applied

Teak carries its own natural oils — the reason it belongs in a bathroom at all. We hand-rub more into the counter, deepening the golden tone to a warm satin that never turns clammy through an August of shower humidity.

The finish nature applied

Density you can feel

At roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, with shrinkage about half of oak's, the trunk base stays flat and true through a winter of dry forced-air heat and a summer of standing shower steam.

Density you can feel

Golden now, silver whenever

Indoors, teak will not go silver — that needs outdoor UV and rain; here it slowly deepens toward a richer honey-amber. A light sanding and fresh oil bring the counter's original gold back anytime you choose.

Golden now, silver whenever

From plank to piece.

The wood selection

The wood selection

Teak blocks are chosen one at a time by selectors with thirty years at the stacks, then kiln-dried twenty days so the moisture — and any insect — is gone before shaping. Stock with twist, checks, or dull grain never enters a vanity.

The shaping process

The shaping process

The trunk form is cut slightly proud of its lines, preserving the live edge and leaving material for the handwork that follows.

The hand refinement

The hand refinement

Counter and shelf faces are sanded through five successive grits until the live edge feels right against an open palm, the last pass checked under a raking light.

The final inspection

The final inspection

Finish goes on in thin coats, buffed between each, with extra sealer worked into the end grain. The maker checks level, joints, and moisture sealing before the vanity ships.

One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

The Timber Vintique workshop

No two boards alike

The grain that arrives is yours alone.

  1. Every board is cut from a different tree — the photos here are a reference, not a promise.
  2. Your piece is photographed in the workshop before it ships, so you see your exact grain.
  3. Small knots and mineral streaks come with real wood. We leave them in.

Delivery, done properly.

White-glove option

Choose white-glove and the crew brings the piece inside, places it in the room, and removes every bit of packaging.

Crated for freight

Each piece travels in its own wooden crate with corner protection, built to cross the country without a scuff.

Scheduled window

You get a delivery appointment and tracking — not a truck that shows up unannounced.

Honest returns

30 days from payment. If it isn't right — unused, in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup. Made-to-order terms are stated up front.

Questions customers usually ask

Is each vanity really a single tree trunk?
Each vanity begins as a genuine tree trunk section — selected, kiln-dried, stabilized, and sealed for bathroom humidity — carrying a counter or basin. No two boards are ever identical, so yours will match no photograph exactly, which is the point of a one-of-one piece.
How do I order the right size?
Sizing starts with your space: send width, height, and sink choice, and we select a trunk to suit. Because it is made to order we share photos of the actual trunk before finishing begins, so nothing about it surprises you on delivery day.
What does installation involve?
The trunk arrives as one sealed, pre-drilled piece for your specified basin and faucet. A plumber handles supply and drain hookup with standard US fittings throughout — no proprietary parts to source.
How do I maintain a sealed trunk?
Wipe standing water from the top and base after use and run the fan — the black spots people dread on bath wood are mildew eating soap film, never the teak rotting from within. Reapply the sealer yearly in a daily-use bathroom to keep the trunk protected.
How does a trunk vanity ship?
Trunk vanities are made to order and freight-crated upright with internal bracing. Tracking is provided, and the delivery appointment is scheduled with you directly; photograph the crate before the driver leaves and note any damage on the receipt.
What are this vanity's dimensions, and what sink does it take?
This build measures 30"W x 30"H x 18"D — sized for a single vessel sink or basin with counter space beside it. Send your sink and faucet specs and we drill the cutouts to match exactly before shipping.
