Shipping Policy
Free standard shipping on every U.S. order — no minimum. Every piece is made to order in our workshop, so plan on about 4 weeks from payment to delivery, sometimes 6. Larger pieces travel by freight, with a white-glove option where available.
The short version
- Free standard shipping on every U.S. order, with no minimum purchase.
- Made to order: about 4 weeks from payment to delivery, sometimes 6.
- Large furniture ships by freight, crated and blanket-wrapped, with delivery scheduled around you.
- We send updates while your piece is being built, including photos as the build moves along.
Timeline after payment
Nothing sits in a warehouse waiting for a label — your order starts as boards on the rack. Here is how the weeks usually run:
- Within 48 hours of payment: order confirmed and queued. This is also the free-cancellation window, before your wood is cut.
- Workshop build: the piece is cut, joined, sanded, and oiled. We send progress updates during this stage.
- Crating and handoff: the finished piece is inspected, crated or blanket-wrapped, and handed to the carrier. You receive tracking or the freight carrier's contact details.
- Delivery: parcel-size items arrive by standard ground carrier. Freight items are delivered by appointment — the carrier calls ahead to schedule a window.
Start to finish, the typical order takes about 4 weeks from payment to delivery, and sometimes 6 when the build queue is full or your piece is unusually large. If your order ever looks like it will run past that, we tell you rather than let you wonder.
Where we ship
We ship within the United States: the 48 contiguous states are covered by our free standard shipping. For Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S. territories, please contact us before ordering so we can confirm feasibility and any cost difference for your address. P.O. boxes and APO/FPO addresses are unsupported — furniture and freight carriers require a physical street address.
We do not ship internationally at this time.
Freight and white-glove delivery
Dining tables, cabinets, headboards, and other large pieces ship by freight carrier, crated and blanket-wrapped with the corners protected, because a finished piece has to arrive as one. Standard freight is curbside: the carrier brings the crate to the end of your driveway or building entrance, and a second pair of hands on your side is a good idea.
Where available, a white-glove option brings the piece into the room of your choice and removes the packaging. If you want white-glove service, email us with your order number and delivery address and we will confirm availability and pricing before the piece ships.
Before delivery day, measure the narrowest doorway, stairwell, or elevator on the path in — a made-to-order piece arrives finished, not as a kit of parts, so the path in matters as much as the room it lands in.
Tracking and updates
You will hear from us during the build, not just at the end. Expect a confirmation after payment, progress updates from the workshop while your piece is made, and tracking details (or the freight carrier's scheduling contact) once it ships. If anything about your delivery changes, write to support@timbervintique.com with your order number — address changes are easy before the piece ships and hard after.
If something arrives damaged
Photograph the crate or box before the driver leaves and note any visible damage on the delivery receipt. Then email support@timbervintique.com with your order number and photos. Damaged, defective, or incorrect items are repaired, replaced, or refunded at no cost to you — see our Return & Refund Policy for the full terms.
