Natural wood, one piece at a time

Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.

General care

These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Dimensions & assembly

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.

Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.

Shipping & returns

Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.

Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

Solid teak · Cat tree tower

The cat tree you never hide

The piece

Plate I
Plate II

Cat furniture that is, finally, furniture.

The designers studied how cats actually climb — the spacing of a leap, the width of a confident perch — and built the answer from aged teak trunks with real branching limbs. Each trunk is chosen by hands with thirty years at the lumber stacks and dried twenty days in a controlled kiln, heat that ends any insect or egg in the wood. The maker sands every platform smooth and rounds each edge by hand.

Most cat furniture is carpet over cardboard, bought ugly and hidden when company comes, tossed within a year. This one you leave in the window on purpose. Claws will find it — that is the job — and the honest answer is not scratch-proof but repairable: a weekend of fine sandpaper and fresh oil resets the perch, claw marks and all. The best seat in the house happens to be carved teak.

  • Real branches give cats varied perch heights to leap between
  • Platforms double as display for plants or books
  • Weighted base stays planted under a running leap
  • Sanded teak stands in for the scratched sofa arm
  • At 59 inches tall, reads as sculpture, not gear

It fits real homes.

The sun schedule

The sun schedule

By nine the cat has claimed the top platform, tracking the patch of morning light as it slides across the rug. The tower holds the best seat in the house, and everyone knows exactly whose it is.

The doorbell launch

The doorbell launch

Delivery truck in the driveway, a full sprint across the room, a flying leap onto the middle limb. The weighted teak base takes the hit without a wobble — it has done this every day for two years.

Movie night, all present

Movie night, all present

The family takes the sofa; the cat takes the branch at shoulder height, close enough to supervise the popcorn. Everyone in the room has a spot, and this one happens to be hand-oiled teak.

Every piece is made to order, and dimensions vary from one to the next. Need a different size for your space? Tell us your measurements and we'll build it to fit.

Teak, up close.

Grain that reads quiet

Tight, straight, even grain runs up the trunk and across each platform — the calm figure that made teak the wood collectors ask for by name. Warm to the paw even on a cold morning, the way carpet over plastic never is.

Grain that reads quiet

The finish nature applied

Teak carries its own natural oils. We hand-rub a pet-safe finish into every limb and perch, a warm satin that never feels like plastic — and no chemical smell off-gassing into the room your cat sleeps in all day.

The finish nature applied

Density you can feel

At roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, with some of the lowest shrinkage of any hardwood, the trunk and platforms stay rigid under running leaps, through dry winters and muggy Augusts alike.

Density you can feel

Golden now, silver whenever

Left alone, teak weathers toward a refined silver-grey — a surface change only. A light sanding and fresh oil bring the tower back to gold, claw marks and all.

Golden now, silver whenever

From plank to piece.

The wood selection

The wood selection

Aged teak trunks are chosen one at a time for branching shape and grain, then dried twenty days in a controlled kiln that also ends any insect or egg. Cracked or dull stock never becomes a tower.

The shaping process

The shaping process

Platform positions are laid out to real jumping distances, then each limb is cut slightly proud for the handwork ahead.

The hand refinement

The hand refinement

Every perch and limb is sanded through successive grits and every edge rounded — smooth against a palm, and a paw.

The final inspection

The final inspection

Pet-safe oil goes on in thin coats. The maker load-tests each platform and checks the base before the tower ships.

One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

The Timber Vintique workshop

No two boards alike

The grain that arrives is yours alone.

  1. Every board is cut from a different tree — the photos here are a reference, not a promise.
  2. Your piece is photographed in the workshop before it ships, so you see your exact grain.
  3. Small knots and mineral streaks come with real wood. We leave them in.

Delivery, done properly.

White-glove option

Choose white-glove and the crew brings the piece inside, places it in the room, and removes every bit of packaging.

Crated for freight

Each piece travels in its own wooden crate with corner protection, built to cross the country without a scuff.

Scheduled window

You get a delivery appointment and tracking — not a truck that shows up unannounced.

Honest returns

30 days from payment. If it isn't right — unused, in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup. Made-to-order terms are stated up front.

Questions customers usually ask

What makes these different from carpeted cat trees?
Each tower in this collection is a real branching trunk or solid-wood build, sanded smooth and finished with pet-safe oil — furniture your cat climbs, not carpet-wrapped cardboard you hide when guests come.
How stable are they for large cats?
Very. Wide, weighted bases and solid teak limbs keep the tower planted under a running leap from across the room. For enthusiastic climbers we include a wall strap for extra insurance.
Is there assembly involved?
Most towers arrive in two or three sections that bolt together in under twenty minutes. Platforms come pre-attached; you fasten the sections together and position the weighted base.
What about claw marks and cleaning?
Vacuum platforms and wipe the wood with a dry or barely damp cloth. Claw marks are part of the story, but a light sanding and a wipe of oil erase them in ten minutes whenever you choose — try that with a carpet post.
How do the towers ship?
Towers are made to order and packed in sectioned, padded cartons with hardware bagged inside the base. Tracking follows by email the day your order leaves the workshop.
How big is this tower, and will it suit a large cat?
This build stands 59 inches tall with a 30-inch reach, sized so a full-grown Maine Coon can stretch out on the upper platforms. Because each tower comes from a real branching trunk, yours will vary slightly from the photos — every tree does.
