Books beside the work
A teenager tapes up a calendar and stacks library books where they can be seen. Open cubbies on each side hold up the top, so the books live right next to the homework.
Natural wood, workshop shaping, and a finish selected for everyday use give the piece a durable foundation for real routines. Care still matters, but the design is intended to remain part of the room rather than feel temporary.
