These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Dimensions & assembly
Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.
Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.
Shipping & returns
Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.
Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

Each shelf is one solid teak board, ten inches wide and kept at its live edge, so the bark line the tree drew stays on the wall. The board is chosen by a thirty-year selector, dried twenty days in a controlled kiln, then finished on every face — because a floating shelf is read from below as often as above.
A shelf that bows under a loaded row of hardcovers is the flat-pack story everyone knows. Full-thickness teak on a hidden steel bracket does not sag or pull loose, and it moves with you lease to lease when the walls keep changing. It carries the small permanent collection — the five books you actually reread, one framed photo, a pot of something green.

Tight, straight, even grain runs the length of the shelf face — the calm figure that made teak the wood collectors ask for by name. Under a desk lamp the low sheen catches the front edge first.
The finish nature applied
Teak carries its own natural oils. We hand-rub more into the top and the underside, deepening the golden tone to a warm satin that never feels like plastic — with a faint sweet, leathery scent the first week on the wall.
Density you can feel
At roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, with some of the lowest shrinkage of any hardwood, the board stays flat under a loaded row even when winter heat dries the room.
Golden now, silver whenever
Indoors, teak deepens toward honey rather than graying — silvering takes outdoor sun and rain. A light sanding and fresh oil bring the shelf's gold back anytime.
From plank to piece.
The wood selection
Selectors with thirty years at the stacks pull teak boards one at a time for a live edge worth keeping, then dry them twenty days in a controlled kiln. Stock with twist, checks, or dull figure never makes the cut.
The shaping process
The shelf is bandsawn slightly proud of its line, the natural contour preserved — leaving material for the handwork that sets the final profile.
The hand refinement
Face, underside, and bark line are sanded through successive grits until the front edge feels right against an open palm.
The final inspection
Oil goes on in thin coats, buffed between each. The maker checks flatness, bracket fit, and finish before the shelf ships.
One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

What sets these shelves apart?
Each shelf is milled from a full-thickness solid board, finished on every face, and reads as a clean line of wood — no visible brackets, no hollow core to sag. It can be sanded and re-oiled for years, which a veneer shelf cannot.
How precise can the sizing be?
Every shelf is cut to order: length to the inch, depth to the job — six inches for frames, ten for books, twelve for kitchen dishes. Sets are cut from matching stock so a wall of them relates.
What holds them to the wall?
A hidden steel bracket ships sized to each shelf's span. Anchor into studs for heavy book rows; the included anchors carry frames and plants on plain drywall. Nothing shows but the wood.
What ongoing care is needed?
Wipe with a dry cloth and re-oil the front edge yearly — the surface hands and sunlight find first. Loaded shelves appreciate an occasional check of the mounting screws; solid teak takes the weight without bowing.
How are they packed for transit?
Shelves are made to order, individually wrapped, and shipped in rigid cartons with bracket, template, and hardware included. Photograph the carton on arrival; tracking is sent as the order leaves the workshop.
