Natural wood, one piece at a time

Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.

General care

These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Dimensions & assembly

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.

Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.

Shipping & returns

Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.

Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

Solid teak · Cat tree tower

The tower guests mistake for sculpture

The piece

Plate I
Plate II

A climbing tree with the proportions of furniture.

The designers studied how a cat moves — the leap heights, the lookout spots, the need for one platform above everything else — and drew the branches to match. An artisan selects an aged teak trunk, shapes each limb by hand, rounds every edge a whisker will pass, and rubs in a pet-safe oil with no lacquer film and no particleboard core hiding under it.

The old carpet tower got shredded, then hidden in a closet whenever company came. This one earns the corner instead: seventy inches of solid teak, dried twenty days in a controlled kiln so it will not crack when the furnace runs all winter. Visitors cross to touch the grain before they spot the cat, and the tower stays exactly where it stands.

  • Where does the top cat sit? A perch above every platform
  • Saving the sofa? Solid teak limbs take the daily claw stretch
  • Want it to earn space? Spare branches carry trailing plants
  • Cat asleep elsewhere? It holds the corner like sculpture
  • Two or three cats? A seventy-inch spread gives each a post

It fits real homes.

Sunrise surveillance

Sunrise surveillance

First light on a snow morning, and the top platform is already occupied. The plow is logged, joggers noted, the whole white street supervised — all before the kettle finishes boiling downstairs. The teak holds a nine-pound cat six feet up without a creak.

The sofa's reprieve

The sofa's reprieve

The week the tower arrived, the stretch-and-scratch ritual moved from the couch arm to a solid teak limb — and the sofa has not been touched since. A cat needs to pull against something that fights back; carpet gives way, this wood does not.

Two cats, one treaty

Two cats, one treaty

The older cat claims the high branch, the kitten patrols the middle platforms, and the borders hold through the evening. Seventy inches of tree is enough territory for a peace treaty, and both of them still get the four o'clock sun.

Teak, up close.

Grain that reads quiet

Tight, straight, even grain climbs the trunk and runs out along each platform — the calm, consistent figure that made teak the wood collectors ask for by name. It stays cool under a resting paw, then warms where the low winter sun lands on the perch.

Grain that reads quiet

The finish nature applied

Teak carries its own natural oils. We hand-rub a pet-safe coat into every perch and limb, deepening the golden tone to a warm satin under sleeping fur — and the crate opens smelling of woodshop, not of the chemical haze a lacquered import brings home.

The finish nature applied

Density you can feel

At roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, with some of the lowest shrinkage of any hardwood, the trunk absorbs a flying dismount without a wobble. The dry, forced-air winter that opens gaps in fast-dried wood leaves this kiln-dried trunk unmoved.

Density you can feel

Golden now, silver whenever

Indoors the teak stays golden and slowly deepens toward amber; only outdoor sun and rain turn it silver-grey. Either way the change is surface-thin — a light sanding and fresh oil bring the tower back to gold anytime a paw wears a perch pale.

Golden now, silver whenever

From plank to piece.

The wood selection

The wood selection

Aged trunks are pulled one at a time for strong forks and clear grain, then kiln-dried twenty days. Stock with checks or weak limbs never becomes a tower.

The shaping process

The shaping process

Platforms are placed at real leap intervals, then cut slightly proud of the line — leaving material for the handwork on every edge.

The hand refinement

The hand refinement

Every perch and limb is sanded through successive grits until it feels right under an open palm — and under a landing cat.

The final inspection

The final inspection

Pet-safe oil goes on in thin coats, buffed between each. The maker checks balance and platform level before sign-out.

One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

The Timber Vintique workshop

No two boards alike

The grain that arrives is yours alone.

  1. Every board is cut from a different tree — the photos here are a reference, not a promise.
  2. Your piece is photographed in the workshop before it ships, so you see your exact grain.
  3. Small knots and mineral streaks come with real wood. We leave them in.

Delivery, done properly.

White-glove option

Choose white-glove and the crew brings the piece inside, places it in the room, and removes every bit of packaging.

Crated for freight

Each piece travels in its own wooden crate with corner protection, built to cross the country without a scuff.

Scheduled window

You get a delivery appointment and tracking — not a truck that shows up unannounced.

Honest returns

30 days from payment. If it isn't right — unused, in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup. Made-to-order terms are stated up front.

Questions customers usually ask

What makes these different from carpeted cat trees?
Each tower in this collection is a real branching trunk or solid-wood build, kiln-dried, sanded smooth, and finished with pet-safe oil — furniture your cat climbs, not the carpet-wrapped cardboard you hide in a closet when guests come and replace within two years.
How stable are they for large cats?
Very. Wide, weighted bases and solid teak limbs keep the tower planted under a running leap from across the room. For enthusiastic climbers we include a wall strap, the same insurance you would give a loaded bookcase.
Is there assembly involved?
Most towers arrive in two or three sections that bolt together in under twenty minutes with the included hardware. Platforms come pre-attached; you fasten the sections together and position the weighted base — no wordless diagrams, no lost afternoon.
What about claw marks and cleaning?
Vacuum platforms and wipe the wood with a dry or barely damp cloth. Claw marks stay in the top layer of the oil finish — a light sanding and a wipe of oil erase them whenever you choose, which a lacquered surface can never do at home.
How do the towers ship?
Towers are made to order and packed in sectioned, padded cartons with hardware bagged inside the base and corners protected. Photograph the cartons before the driver leaves if anything looks crushed; tracking follows by email the day your order leaves the workshop.
Will this size suit more than one cat?
Yes. This build runs about 70 inches tall with a spread near 70 inches, so the platforms sit far enough apart for two or three cats to hold separate posts. Give it a corner with clear ceiling height, room to leap, and two feet from a heat vent.
