Natural wood, one piece at a time

Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.

General care

These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Dimensions & assembly

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.

Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.

Shipping & returns

Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.

Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

One curve holding up the holidays

The piece

Plate I
Plate II

A round top carried on a sculptural base.

The designers drew the curved base dozens of times before the proportions settled; the wood had to answer back. Boards are chosen for figure that follows the sweep, kiln-dried for twenty days so the curve stays a curve, then bandsawn and hand-sanded until the line runs unbroken from floor to rim.

A round top has no corner waiting at toddler height and no head of table for the conversation to defer to. Through a December of parties the oiled surface takes the punch bowl's condensation and wipes clean by morning — and in January, cleared to bare wood, the base still earns the room's best light.

  • Seats a full circle — no head, no corners
  • No hard corner at toddler height
  • Wipes clean after candles, cocoa, and punch-bowl rings
  • The base reads as sculpture when the top is bare
  • Rounds off a sectional or curved sofa naturally

It fits real homes.

December 26th, exhale

December 26th, exhale

After the third party in two weeks, the top has held candles, cocoa, and the punch bowl's sweat. The rings wipe off the oiled teak, and the host finally sits down at it.

The full circle

The full circle

Christmas Eve, cousins on the sofa, neighbors on floor cushions, everyone facing in. No corners, no head of table — the cocoa and the conversation travel the whole way around.

January, bare wood

January, bare wood

The ornaments go back to their boxes and the top clears to grain and low winter sun. One cup of tea, one lamp — the table carries the off-season just as well.

Made to order

Every piece is made to order, and dimensions vary from one to the next. Need a different size for your space? Tell us your measurements and we'll build it to fit.

Teak, up close.

Grain that reads quiet

Tight, straight grain crosses the round top edge to edge, and when afternoon light rakes across it the figure seems to turn with the curve of the base below.

Grain that reads quiet

The finish nature applied

Teak carries its own natural oils; we hand-rub more into top and base. Run a palm down the sweep and the satin surface stays warm even in a cold room — wood, never plastic.

The finish nature applied

Density you can feel

At roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, with among the lowest shrinkage of the furniture hardwoods, the top holds flat through the months the furnace dries the room to winter air.

Density you can feel

Golden now, silver whenever

Indoors the tone deepens toward honey-caramel with the seasons rather than going grey — silvering needs outdoor sun and rain. A light sanding and fresh oil reset the gold anytime.

Golden now, silver whenever

From plank to piece.

The wood selection

The wood selection

Boards are pulled one at a time by thirty-year selectors and matched by tone across top and base. Twist, checks, or dull figure never makes the cut.

The shaping process

The shaping process

The curved base is traced from templates, then bandsawn slightly proud of the line — spare wood left on purpose for the handwork that finishes the sweep.

The hand refinement

The hand refinement

The round edge and base are sanded by hand through five grits until an open palm rides the curve without finding where one board ends.

The final inspection

The final inspection

Oil goes on in thin coats, buffed between each. The maker sets a level across the top, rocks the base for wobble, and signs it out.

One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

The Timber Vintique workshop

No two boards alike

The grain that arrives is yours alone.

  1. Every board is cut from a different tree — the photos here are a reference, not a promise.
  2. Your piece is photographed in the workshop before it ships, so you see your exact grain.
  3. Small knots and mineral streaks come with real wood. We leave them in.

Delivery, done properly.

White-glove option

Choose white-glove and the crew brings the piece inside, places it in the room, and removes every bit of packaging.

Crated for freight

Each piece travels in its own wooden crate with corner protection, built to cross the country without a scuff.

Scheduled window

You get a delivery appointment and tracking — not a truck that shows up unannounced.

Honest returns

30 days from payment. If it isn't right — unused, in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup. Made-to-order terms are stated up front.

Questions customers usually ask

Is the tabletop really solid wood?
Solid wood through the full thickness of the top — no veneer, no MDF core. Teak's own oils are why holiday rings and sweating glasses wipe away instead of ghosting into the finish.
Can I adjust the size or height?
Each table is built after you order, so diameter and height adjust to your seating. Send the sofa's seat height and the rug size, and we will scale the circle to both.
How much assembly is required?
Most arrive fully assembled; a few ship with the base separated to survive transit. The pre-fitted connection bolts together in minutes with the included key — no wordless diagrams.
How do I care for the top?
Wipe spills when you see them and re-oil once or twice a year when the top looks thirsty. In winter, keep it a couple of feet from floor vents — even stable wood prefers even conditions.
How are coffee tables delivered?
Made to order, wrapped, corner-blocked, and crated when size demands. Tracking arrives at dispatch and freight deliveries are scheduled with you — photograph the crate before the driver leaves, just in case.
Is the curved base one piece with the top?
The sculpted base and round top are built as a matched pair and ship joined or with a single pre-fitted connection, depending on size. Either way the curve is shaped and finished as one continuous form at the workshop.
