Natural wood, one piece at a time

Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.

General care

These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Dimensions & assembly

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.

Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.

Shipping & returns

Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.

Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

Solid teak · Tree plant shelf

A tree indoors, holding small trees

The piece

Plate I
Plate II

A shelf that grew its own architecture.

Shaped from old teak trunk sections, this stand keeps the logic of a tree — one strong central line, branches reaching where branches would. A selector picks trunk sections for grain and sound structure, the kiln's heat drives out moisture and any insects with it, and each branch is leveled by hand into a true display surface.

Houseplants tend to scatter across every windowsill until nothing looks intentional. Standing fifty-nine inches in a corner, this turns a collection into a composition — the bonsai on the top branch, a trailing pothos below. Kiln-dried teak holds its branches level under wet pots season after season, and first-time visitors cross the room to it before they sit down.

  • Layered branches stage plants at staggered display heights
  • Fifty-nine-inch height lifts small plants to eye level
  • Displays bonsai, ceramics, or lanterns as readily as pots
  • Kiln heat drove out insects — no termite sprays used
  • Footprint of a floor lamp, presence of a tree

It fits real homes.

Saturday watering rounds

Saturday watering rounds

Saturday morning, the watering can works top branch to bottom, one pause per plant. Ten minutes, once a week — the closest thing a third-floor apartment has to a garden path, the teak trunk cool and solid under a steadying hand.

The seasonal reshuffle

The seasonal reshuffle

First cold week of October, the balcony plants come inside and take their winter posts along the branches. By the window the whole corner turns green for the season, and the stand holds the extra weight without a lean.

The bonsai's perch

The bonsai's perch

The bonsai spent years on a windowsill being overlooked. On the top branch at eye level, it finally reads as what it is — a small tree, displayed by a larger one, both grain and needle catching the afternoon light.

Teak, up close.

Grain that reads quiet

Up the trunk and along every branch, teak's tight, even grain runs calm and continuous — the figure collectors ask for by name. Cool and smooth underhand where you expect the roughness of bark.

Grain that reads quiet

The finish nature applied

Teak carries its own natural oils. We hand-rub more into the trunk and each branch platform, deepening the golden tone to a warm satin that suits living green and gives off no chemical smell around the plants.

The finish nature applied

Density you can feel

At roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, with some of the lowest shrinkage of any hardwood, the branches stay level under loaded pots through humid summers and dry-furnace winters alike.

Density you can feel

Golden now, silver whenever

Left alone, the teak trunk drifts toward a refined silver-grey — a surface change only. A light sanding and fresh oil bring back the gold anytime the mood for warm tone returns.

Golden now, silver whenever

From plank to piece.

The wood selection

The wood selection

Old trunk sections are chosen for distinctive grain and sound structure, then kiln-dried twenty days — the heat driving off moisture and any insects, so no sprays are ever needed.

The shaping process

The shaping process

The tree form is composed branch by branch, each cut slightly proud of its line — leaving material for the handwork that levels every platform.

The hand refinement

The hand refinement

Trunk and branches are sanded through successive grits until every reachable surface feels right against an open palm.

The final inspection

The final inspection

Oil goes on in thin coats, buffed between each. The maker checks stance, branch level, and finish before the tree leaves the workshop.

One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

The Timber Vintique workshop

No two boards alike

The grain that arrives is yours alone.

  1. Every board is cut from a different tree — the photos here are a reference, not a promise.
  2. Your piece is photographed in the workshop before it ships, so you see your exact grain.
  3. Small knots and mineral streaks come with real wood. We leave them in.

Delivery, done properly.

White-glove option

Choose white-glove and the crew brings the piece inside, places it in the room, and removes every bit of packaging.

Crated for freight

Each piece travels in its own wooden crate with corner protection, built to cross the country without a scuff.

Scheduled window

You get a delivery appointment and tracking — not a truck that shows up unannounced.

Honest returns

30 days from payment. If it isn't right — unused, in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup. Made-to-order terms are stated up front.

Questions customers usually ask

Will a wooden stand handle heavy pots and watering?
Yes. Each stand is solid teak, joined wood-to-wood — not stapled — so it stays rigid under a heavy ceramic pot. Teak's density carries the load, and its natural resistance to damp handles the humidity plants bring with them. Keep a saucer under each pot.
Can I order a set at different heights?
Heights and platform sizes are made to order. Build a trio at staggered heights for a corner, or a single tall stand to lift a monstera to the window light.
Anything to set up?
Plant stands arrive assembled. Place a saucer or cork mat under every pot — the stand tolerates humidity, but standing water will eventually mark any wood finish.
How do I protect the platform?
Lift pots occasionally to let the platform dry, and wipe drips when watering. A fresh coat of oil each year keeps the stand as healthy as the plant, and spot-repairs any water mark at home.
How do stands ship?
Every stand is made to order and ships boxed with padded wrap; sets travel together in one shipment. Tracking arrives by email the day they leave the workshop.
How big is this tree shelf, and what belongs on it?
It stands 59 inches high with roughly a 30-inch spread. The branches suit small and mid-size pots — bonsai, ferns, trailing plants — with heavier ceramics kept to the lower branches. Use saucers, as with any wood stand.
