Natural wood, one piece at a time

Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.

General care

These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Dimensions & assembly

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.

Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.

Shipping & returns

Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.

Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

Solid teak · End table

The tree beside your chair

The piece

Plate I
Plate II

An end table shaped the way the tree intended.

The form follows the trunk it came from. Each table is shaped from solid teak, the sculptural base worked by hand until it stands dead level, the top sanded smooth and given natural wax and oil. Before any of that, a thirty-year selector picks the stock and twenty days in a controlled kiln take the moisture out, so a one-piece trunk holds its shape indoors.

An end table lives at arm's reach, so it collects the sweating glass and the set-down mug the coffee table misses. Oiled solid teak sheds those rings, and a mark that does land spot-sands and re-oils at home in ten minutes — no refinisher. Beside a reading chair it does the ordinary work of an end table while quietly being the most interesting object in the room.

  • Solid top for drinks, books, and the evening lamp
  • Works beside a sofa, reading chair, or bed
  • Sculptural enough to stand alone in a corner
  • Arrives fully assembled — place it and pour
  • Wax-and-oil finish spot-repairs at home, no refinisher

It fits real homes.

The reading hour

The reading hour

Nine o'clock, the house finally quiet, lamp down at 2700K. Tea and the open book land on the teak at exactly the height of the chair arm — the detail nobody plans and everybody feels. One hour, no phone.

Movie-night station

Movie-night station

Super Bowl Sunday, fourth quarter: the remote, a bowl of chips, and two sweating bottles crowd the top within reach of the sofa. A ring lands on the corner nobody's watching and wipes off with the crumbs Monday morning.

Bedside promotion

Bedside promotion

Moved to the bedroom on a whim, it earns tenure — water glass, phone, a stack of half-read books. Low autumn sun rakes across the grain at eight on a Saturday and the room feels more deliberate than it did.

Teak, up close.

Grain that reads quiet

Tight, straight, even grain runs through the top and down the sculpted base — the calm figure that made teak the wood collectors ask for by name. Morning light traces the contour of the trunk it was.

Grain that reads quiet

The finish nature applied

Teak carries its own natural oils. We hand-rub wax and oil into the top and trunk, deepening the golden tone to a warm satin that never feels like plastic and takes a set-down glass without ghosting.

The finish nature applied

Density you can feel

At roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, with some of the lowest shrinkage of any hardwood, the trunk base plants itself and the top stays true through a winter of forced-air heat.

Density you can feel

Golden now, silver whenever

Indoors, teak deepens toward honey rather than graying — silvering takes outdoor sun and rain. A light sanding and fresh oil bring the table's gold back anytime.

Golden now, silver whenever

From plank to piece.

The wood selection

The wood selection

Selectors with thirty years at the stacks pull trunks and thick teak stock one at a time for sculptural potential, then dry them twenty days in a controlled kiln. Twisted, checked, or dull material never makes the cut.

The shaping process

The shaping process

The form is roughed out slightly proud of its final line, following the trunk's own geometry — material reserved for the handwork ahead.

The hand refinement

The hand refinement

Top and base are sanded through successive grits until every contour of the trunk feels right against an open palm.

The final inspection

The final inspection

Wax and oil go on in thin coats, buffed between each. The maker checks level, stability, and finish before the table ships.

One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

The Timber Vintique workshop

No two boards alike

The grain that arrives is yours alone.

  1. Every board is cut from a different tree — the photos here are a reference, not a promise.
  2. Your piece is photographed in the workshop before it ships, so you see your exact grain.
  3. Small knots and mineral streaks come with real wood. We leave them in.

Delivery, done properly.

White-glove option

Choose white-glove and the crew brings the piece inside, places it in the room, and removes every bit of packaging.

Crated for freight

Each piece travels in its own wooden crate with corner protection, built to cross the country without a scuff.

Scheduled window

You get a delivery appointment and tracking — not a truck that shows up unannounced.

Honest returns

30 days from payment. If it isn't right — unused, in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup. Made-to-order terms are stated up front.

Questions customers usually ask

What goes into an end table here?
Every end table is cut from solid stock — often with the grain running continuously from top to side on waterfall designs — with no veneer over particleboard. Hand-sanded, oiled, and ready to work beside a chair for decades.
What heights do you offer?
We size end tables to order. Common builds run 20 to 26 inches tall, but if your reading chair or bed frame calls for another height, tell us and we cut to it.
Does it come ready to use?
End tables arrive fully assembled — real joinery ships as one piece, not a kit. There is nothing to bolt, level, or adjust: unbox it, set it beside the chair, and put the lamp and your book down.
What is the care routine?
Dust with a dry cloth and wipe rings before they set; a white ring that does form lifts with a cloth and a warm dry iron. Refresh the oil yearly, and keep small tables a foot or two from radiators and vents.
How is an end table packed?
Each end table is made to order and double-boxed with padded corners, shipping by parcel carrier. Photograph the box if it arrives dented and note it on the receipt; tracking is sent the day it leaves the workshop.
Will mine look like the photos?
Close, but never identical — each table is shaped from a real trunk, so the base's contours, knots, and grain are its own. That variance is the proof it is one of one; we can share photos of your actual piece before it ships if you ask.
