Natural wood, one piece at a time

Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.

General care

These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Dimensions & assembly

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.

Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.

Shipping & returns

Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.

Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

Solid teak · End table

Fifteen inches of teak beside your chair

The piece

Plate I
Plate II

The side table your reading chair has been missing.

Our designers drew this table around one question: what does a chair-side surface actually need to hold? The answer set the height, the footprint, the rounded top. An artisan pulls a single teak board — solid clear through, no veneer skin over particleboard — reads it for figure, and rubs wax and oil into the grain by hand.

If the last accent table chipped a corner of particleboard the first time a mug slid off it, this is the correction. Beside a sofa arm it carries the lamp, the book, the cooling cup, and years of contact only warm it. Solid teak takes a ring, a spot-sand, a fresh wipe of oil, and stays yours.

  • Need a spot for the lamp, book, and evening cup? This holds all three
  • Twenty inches tall, so it meets most sofa arms level
  • Rounded fifteen-inch top slips into tight corners without a sharp edge
  • Wax-and-oil surface wipes clean in one pass, no coaster rules
  • Scratched? Spot-sand and re-oil at home in ten minutes

It fits real homes.

Saturday's first coffee

Saturday's first coffee

Saturday, 7:15 a.m., before the day asks for anything. The mug lands here, steam curling up, and low sun slides across the grain. No phone, no plan, just the quiet the reading chair was bought for.

Within arm's reach

Within arm's reach

Thursday night, a rerun on low. The remote, somebody's seltzer, and the reading glasses all wait on fifteen inches of teak — every small necessary thing one lazy reach from the sofa, no coaster rulebook enforced.

The question it draws

The question it draws

Mid-dinner-party, a guest sets down a glass, notices the edge follows the tree instead of a ruler, and traces it a beat longer than needed. Then the question the host quietly likes: who made this?

Teak, up close.

Grain that reads quiet

Tight, straight, even grain runs the full width of the top — the calm figure that made teak the wood collectors ask for by name. Under a raking lamp you can trace it with a fingertip and feel almost nothing but smooth.

Grain that reads quiet

The finish nature applied

Teak carries its own oils. We hand-rub wax and more oil into the top and base, deepening the honey tone to a warm satin — and the piece arrives smelling faintly of woodshop, not chemicals, nothing to off-gas beside your chair.

The finish nature applied

Density you can feel

At roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, with some of the lowest shrinkage of any hardwood, this table holds flat when winter forced-air heat drops a room to 20% humidity. Lift it and the weight tells you it is solid.

Density you can feel

Golden now, silver whenever

Left in the open it can weather toward a soft silver-grey — a skin-deep change only. A light sanding and fresh oil bring the gold back in an afternoon, so a scuff is never the end of the piece.

Golden now, silver whenever

From plank to piece.

The wood selection

The wood selection

One board becomes one table, pulled by a selector with decades at the lumber stacks for tone and figure. Stock with twist, checks, or dull grain never makes the cut.

The shaping process

The shaping process

The round top is traced from templates, then bandsawn a hair proud of the line, leaving material for the handwork that follows.

The hand refinement

The hand refinement

Top and edge are sanded through five successive grits until the profile feels right against an open palm, not merely looks right.

The final inspection

The final inspection

Wax and oil go on in thin coats, buffed between each. The maker checks that the top sits dead level before the table is boxed.

One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

The Timber Vintique workshop

No two boards alike

The grain that arrives is yours alone.

  1. Every board is cut from a different tree — the photos here are a reference, not a promise.
  2. Your piece is photographed in the workshop before it ships, so you see your exact grain.
  3. Small knots and mineral streaks come with real wood. We leave them in.

Delivery, done properly.

White-glove option

Choose white-glove and the crew brings the piece inside, places it in the room, and removes every bit of packaging.

Crated for freight

Each piece travels in its own wooden crate with corner protection, built to cross the country without a scuff.

Scheduled window

You get a delivery appointment and tracking — not a truck that shows up unannounced.

Honest returns

30 days from payment. If it isn't right — unused, in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup. Made-to-order terms are stated up front.

Questions customers usually ask

What goes into an end table here?
Every end table here is solid teak cut from one board — no veneer, no particleboard core to chip at a corner. On waterfall designs the grain runs unbroken from top to leg. Hand-sanded, oiled, and heavy for its size.
How big is this table?
This build stands 20 inches tall with a 15-inch top — sized beside a sofa, loveseat, or reading chair. Because it is made to order, tabletop size, leg height, and color tone can all be adjusted.
Does it come ready to use?
End tables arrive fully assembled and ready to place. Nothing to bolt or level — the piece ships as one because it is built as one. Unbox it, set it down, put the lamp on top.
What is the care routine?
Dust with a dry cloth and wipe rings before they set; a white ring lifts with a cloth and a warm, dry iron in under a minute. Refresh the oil yearly, and keep the table a couple of feet from a heat vent.
How is an end table packed?
Each end table is made to order and double-boxed with padded corners, then shipped by parcel carrier with tracking the day it leaves the workshop. If it arrives damaged, photograph the box and we make it right.
