These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Dimensions & assembly
Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.
Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.
Shipping & returns
Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.
Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

The top is a single expanse of teak, a full 2.76 inches thick, the live edge left where the tree drew it. The slab is kiln-dried until the moisture meter says done, flattened by hand, then sanded and oiled — real wood with enough material in it to be refinished for the rest of your working life.
Most desks apologize for being in a bedroom — metal legs, cable sprawl, a top that drums under typing. This one belongs. The slab sits silent under elbows and monitors, and when the laptop closes at six, the desk goes back to being furniture. The raw edge is the actual line of the tree, and it is yours alone.

Grain from the tree
No two boards match: the tight, straight grain and warm honey-to-amber tones are drawn from the teak itself, not printed on a film. In low morning sun the figure shifts quietly under the oil.
Finished by hand
The worksurface is hand-sanded through five grits and oiled, never wrapped in plastic film — wood that feels faintly warm under a resting forearm on a winter morning.
Kiln-dried and joined
The slab dries slowly in a temperature-controlled kiln until its moving is done, then joins the base wood to wood — so forced-air winters and humid Augusts pass without a gap or a wobble.
Built to be inherited
The 2.76-inch top carries enough material to be sanded and refinished again and again — cool to the first touch, warming as you work, with decades of resets left in it.
From plank to piece.
The wood selection
Teak slabs are pulled one at a time by selectors with thirty years of practice, judged for grain movement and a clean live edge. Twisted or checked stock never makes the cut.
The shaping process
The top is flattened and cut slightly proud of its final line, the live edge preserved for the handwork that follows.
The hand refinement
The worksurface and raw edge are sanded through successive grits until both feel right under a resting forearm.
The final inspection
Oil goes on in thin coats, buffed between each. The maker checks flatness with a straightedge and tests the leg fit before the desk leaves the workshop.
One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

What kind of wood are the desks built with?
Solid teak, full stop — a 2.76-inch top thick enough to stay flat over a 60-inch span, joined to hardwood legs or trestles, with no particleboard or veneer anywhere. Every board is chosen by selectors with thirty years at the stacks and kiln-dried twenty days at controlled heat, so it has finished moving before we build and will not shrink or warp in a heated bedroom. Solid teak sands and refinishes for decades, which a veneer skin cannot survive.
Can I customize dimensions or add cable management?
Each desk is built to order, so width, depth, and height adjust to your room and chair. Standing-height builds and cable grommets can be added when you order — say where the outlets are and we place them.
How hard is assembly?
Legs or trestles bolt to pre-installed threaded inserts in the top — a fifteen-minute job for one person. The included hex key is the only tool you will need; no wordless diagrams, no leftover screw.
How should I treat the worksurface?
A desk pad keeps daily writing flawless, or let the marks accrue honestly — either way, a damp cloth cleans it and a yearly re-oil keeps it rich. Deeper scratches spot-sand and re-oil at home in about ten minutes; that repair is the point of an oil finish.
How does a desk arrive?
Desks ship made to order with the top and base packed separately in padded cartons, hardware bagged to the frame. Tracking covers every box, and if a carton looks rough, photograph it before signing — we make damage right.
How thick is the tabletop, and is the live edge on every desk?
The standard top is a full 2.76 inches of solid teak — thick enough to read as a slab, not a panel. The live edge is part of the design and follows each individual slab, so the exact contour of yours will be its own.
