These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Dimensions & assembly
Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.
Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.
Shipping & returns
Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.
Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

The oak is solid through every member, chosen for figure and shaped by hand; the cushions are fitted last, so the sculpture stays a chair first.
Chairs are where cheap joinery confesses first — the creak, the rock, the bolts you tighten three times in the first month. Here the stress joints are mortise-and-tenon, glued and cured before shipping, so the chair you claim by the window still sits silent in year ten. That corner becomes yours, and the whole house knows it.

Barrel-grade structure
Janka hardness near 1,350 and tyloses-plugged pores — whiskey-barrel structure. Kiln-dried twenty days before the first cut, the frame stays silent when the furnace dries January to desert air.
Deepens with the decades
The oak gains color where hands land instead of wearing through. At year ten the arms read honeyed and settled, not tired — winter and summer swings included.
From plank to piece.
The wood selection
Oak boards are pulled one at a time by selectors with thirty years at the lumber stacks, matched by tone across legs, arms, and back. Twisted or dull stock never makes the cut.
The shaping process
Each frame member is traced from templates, then bandsawn slightly proud of the line — spare material for the spokeshave passes behind every curve.
The hand refinement
Arms and rails are sanded by hand through successive grits until every edge feels right where a hand actually rests through a chapter.
The final inspection
Joints are glued, clamped overnight, and cured before oil goes on in thin buffed coats. The maker sits in every chair before it leaves the workshop.
One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

How are the chairs built to last?
Solid hardwood with mortise-and-tenon joinery at the stress points — the seat-to-leg and back-to-seat joints that decide whether a chair lasts five years or fifty. Weight lands on wood fitted into wood, not on hardware that loosens.
Can seat height or finish be customized?
Yes — seat height and finish tone are set when you order, because the build starts then. Tell us where it will live, a reading corner or beside a tall lamp, and we will match the proportions to the spot.
Do the chairs require assembly?
Chairs ship fully assembled. Joints are glued, clamped, and cured at the workshop — nothing for you to bolt together, and no wobble that starts its life at a cam lock.
What upkeep does a wooden chair need?
Wipe with a soft damp cloth and dry. Check the floor glides stay snug, and refresh the oil on arms and seat edges yearly — the ten-minute rag job that keeps hand-worn spots even.
How are chairs and sets shipped?
Each chair is made to order, wrapped at every edge, and double-boxed. Pairs ship together where possible; photograph any box damage before the driver leaves and note it on the receipt — a fix starts from that photo. Tracking is sent at dispatch.
How do I care for the upholstery?
Vacuum the cushions with a brush attachment and blot spills promptly with a barely damp cloth. Rotate the seat cushion occasionally so it wears evenly — fabric ages; the oak frame only deepens.
