Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.
General care
These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Dimensions & assembly
Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.
Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.
Shipping & returns
Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.
Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

The piece
Lounge seating pared down to essentials — curve, grain, and rest.
Gentle contours, open cutouts, and fluid transitions form a frame with nothing left to remove. Our designers trimmed every line to the necessary curves; with so little frame, each teak board is chosen with more care, shaped by hand, joined with mortise-and-tenon, and sanded until the whole piece reads as one gesture. Cushions are not included.
Pare a chair this far down and there is nowhere for cheap construction to hide — a veneered frame would show its seams and give at the joints within a year. Solid teak lets the few members carry the load and the eye at once. It is the harder thing to make, and the one still standing when the trend-bought pieces have gone to the curb.

Teak, up close.
Grain that reads quiet
Tight, straight, even grain runs the length of the contoured frame — the calm figure collectors ask for by name. With so few members, that grain is what you see and feel: satin-smooth, never lacquer-slick.
The finish nature applied
Teak carries its own natural oils, so it arrives smelling faintly of wood, nothing to off-gas into a small room. We hand-rub more into the seat rails and curves, deepening the gold to a warm satin that never feels like plastic.
Density you can feel
At roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, with shrinkage about half that of oak, this spare frame stays rigid when winter forced-air heat dries the room to bone-dry — no extra members to lean on, so each joint has to hold.
Golden now, silver whenever
Indoors the gold holds and slowly deepens; outdoors teak would weather to a refined silver-grey, a surface change only. A light sanding and fresh oil bring the frame's gold back anytime.
From plank to piece.
The wood selection
Boards are matched by tone and grain across the frame's few members, then kiln-dried twenty days — with so little frame, each board matters more.
The shaping process
Contours and cutouts are traced from templates, then bandsawn slightly proud of the line, leaving material for the handwork.
The hand refinement
Each transition is sanded through successive grits until the frame feels like one continuous curve under an open palm.
The final inspection
Oil goes on in thin coats, buffed between each. The maker checks joints, stance, and finish before the seat leaves the workshop.
One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

- Every board is cut from a different tree — the photos here are a reference, not a promise.
- Your piece is photographed in the workshop before it ships, so you see your exact grain.
- Small knots and mineral streaks come with real wood. We leave them in.

White-glove option
Choose white-glove and the crew brings the piece inside, places it in the room, and removes every bit of packaging.
Crated for freight
Each piece travels in its own wooden crate with corner protection, built to cross the country without a scuff.

You get a delivery appointment and tracking — not a truck that shows up unannounced.
Honest returns
30 days from payment. If it isn't right — unused, in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup. Made-to-order terms are stated up front.
Questions customers usually ask
How are the chairs built to last?
Solid teak with mortise-and-tenon joinery at the seat-to-leg and back-to-seat joints — the ones that decide whether a chair lasts five years or fifty. The joints are glued, clamped, and cured, not held by a hidden cam lock that works loose in a month.
Can seat height or finish be customized?
Seat height and finish tone can be tailored when you order. If your table runs tall or low, tell us its height and we will match the chairs to a comfortable clearance.
Do the chairs require assembly?
Chairs ship fully assembled. Joints are glued, clamped, and cured at the workshop — nothing for you to bolt together, and no wobble that starts its life at a cam lock.
What upkeep does a wooden chair need?
Wipe with a soft damp cloth and dry. Check the floor glides stay snug, and refresh the oil on the arms and seat edges once a year where hands rest most — about twenty minutes, no refinisher needed.
How are chairs and sets shipped?
Each chair is made to order, wrapped at every edge, and double-boxed. Pairs and sets ship together where possible, and tracking is sent to you at dispatch.
Are cushions included with this lounge seat?
No — it ships as the sculpted teak frame only. Choose cushions in the fabric and loft your room calls for; the seat platform is sized to take standard lounge cushions without slipping.
