These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Dimensions & assembly
Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.
Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.
Shipping & returns
Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.
Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

The piece
An accent chair pared down to wood, line, and air.
No cushion, no cover — one continuous line of solid teak from arm to leg, the open frame carrying more light than material. Our designers drew and redrew until nothing could be removed; the artisan selects each board, shapes the rounded members by hand, and sands the bare seat through successive grits until the wood welcomes skin directly.
A bare-wood chair has nowhere to hide a shortcut, so the seat has to be finished the way a good handrail is. The teak is sanded smooth and left free of any film to peel — nothing to off-gas, nothing to stain or fluff, a spill wiped in one pass. Guests sit in it carefully the first time and choose it on purpose the second, and you never dress it up, because it needs nothing.

The extra seat

Teak, up close.
Grain that reads quiet
Tight, straight, even grain follows the continuous line of arms and legs — the calm figure that lets an open frame read as one gesture, and stays smooth where a palm slides down the arm each time you settle in.
The finish nature applied
Teak carries its own natural oils. We hand-rub more into the bare seat and arms, deepening the gold to a satin that skin meets directly — food-safe once cured, and smelling faintly sweet of the woodshop rather than of any spray.
Density you can feel
At roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, with shrinkage about half that of oak, the slender frame stays rigid and quiet under daily sitting through a dry forced-air winter and a humid summer alike.
Golden now, silver whenever
Indoors the seat deepens toward honey-amber rather than graying; silvering needs outdoor sun and rain. A light sanding and fresh oil bring bare teak back to first gold whenever it wants refreshing.
From plank to piece.
The wood selection
Boards are pulled one at a time by selectors with thirty years at the stacks, matched by tone along the frame's continuous line and dried twenty days in a controlled kiln. Twisted or dull stock never makes the cut.
The shaping process
Arms and legs are traced from templates, then bandsawn slightly proud of the line, leaving material for the rounding done entirely by hand.
The hand refinement
With no cushion to hide behind, the seat and every member are sanded through successive grits until bare wood feels finished to bare skin.
The final inspection
Oil goes on in thin coats, buffed between each. The maker sits, rocks, and checks every joint before the chair is signed out.
One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

The grain that arrives is yours alone.
- Every board is cut from a different tree — the photos here are a reference, not a promise.
- Your piece is photographed in the workshop before it ships, so you see your exact grain.
- Small knots and mineral streaks come with real wood. We leave them in.
Delivery, done properly.
White-glove option
Choose white-glove and the crew brings the piece inside, places it in the room, and removes every bit of packaging.
Crated for freight
Each piece travels in its own wooden crate with corner protection, built to cross the country without a scuff.
Scheduled window
You get a delivery appointment and tracking — not a truck that shows up unannounced.
Honest returns
30 days from payment. If it isn't right — unused, in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup. Made-to-order terms are stated up front.
Questions customers usually ask
How are the chairs built to last?
Every chair is solid hardwood with mortise-and-tenon joinery at the stress points — the seat-to-leg and back-to-seat joints that decide whether a chair lasts five years or fifty. No hanger bolts, no cam locks, nothing that racks loose in the first month.
Can seat height or finish be customized?
Seat height and finish tone can be tailored when you order. If your table runs tall or low, tell us its height and we will match the chairs to a comfortable clearance.
Do the chairs require assembly?
Chairs ship fully assembled. Joints are glued, clamped, and cured at the workshop — nothing for you to bolt together, and no wobble that starts its life at a cam lock. It comes off the truck as a finished chair.
What upkeep does a wooden chair need?
Wipe with a soft damp cloth and dry. Check that floor glides stay snug, and refresh the oil on arms and seat edges yearly, where hands rest most — a marked seat spot-sands and re-oils at home in ten minutes, no refinisher.
How are chairs and sets shipped?
Each chair is made to order, wrapped at every edge, and double-boxed. Pairs and sets ship together where possible; photograph the box before the driver leaves, note any damage on the receipt, and tracking is sent at dispatch.
Is a wooden seat without a cushion actually comfortable?
For the sitting an accent chair does — conversation, coffee, a chapter — yes. The seat is shaped and sanded smooth rather than left flat, and the design stays cushion-free on purpose so the sculptural frame remains fully visible. Add a loose throw pillow anytime; nothing is attached.
