These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Dimensions & assembly
Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.
Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.
Shipping & returns
Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.
Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

Before the first cut, the slab spends twenty days in a temperature-controlled kiln, so a top this wide stays flat under monitors instead of cupping its first winter.
Five years of working from home have already outlasted three wobbly desks in plenty of houses. This slab takes dual monitors, leaning elbows, and the full weight of a workday without flexing, on X legs that plant instead of skate — and it will still be here when the job titles have changed twice.

Grain that reads quiet
Straight grain runs the full length of the slab, framed by the live edge's wild contour — and under a desk lamp the figure reads calm enough to work over for eight hours.
The finish nature applied
Teak's own oils start the job; we hand-rub more into the worksurface — a low satin that takes a forearm, a hot mug's near-misses, and the occasional spilled coffee without ghosting.
Density you can feel
At about 44 pounds per cubic foot, with seasonal movement half of oak's, the thick slab stays flat under monitors from furnace-dry January to muggy August — no seasonal rock in the legs.
Golden now, silver whenever
Indoors the gold holds for decades of workdays. If strong sun through the office window ever lightens one end, a light sanding and fresh oil even the whole top in an afternoon.
From plank to piece.
The wood selection
Slabs are chosen one at a time for thickness, figure, and a live edge worth keeping — the moisture meter is checked before any slab is approved for a desk-width top.
The shaping process
The straight edges and X legs are cut slightly proud of the line, while the live edge is cleaned by hand to keep the tree's own contour.
The hand refinement
Slab and legs pass through five grits of sandpaper until the live edge feels smooth to a passing forearm, not just to the eye.
The final inspection
Oil goes on in thin coats, buffed between each. The maker loads the top, checks level and leg stance on a flat floor, and signs the desk out of the workshop.
One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

Choose white-glove and the crew brings the piece inside, places it in the room, and removes every bit of packaging.
Crated for freight
Each piece travels in its own wooden crate with corner protection, built to cross the country without a scuff.

You get a delivery appointment and tracking — not a truck that shows up unannounced.
Honest returns
30 days from payment. If it isn't right — unused, in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup. Made-to-order terms are stated up front.
Questions customers usually ask
What kind of wood are the desks built with?
Solid-wood tops thick enough to stay flat over a 60-inch span, joined to hardwood legs — no particleboard anywhere in the build. That is why the surface can be sanded and re-oiled at home for decades, which a veneered desk cannot survive.
Can I customize dimensions or add cable management?
Each desk is built to order, so width, depth, and height adjust to your room and chair. Standing-height builds and cable grommets can be added when you order — say where your outlets sit and we place them.
How hard is assembly?
Legs bolt to pre-installed threaded inserts in the top — a fifteen-minute job for one person with the included hex key. No wordless diagrams, no leftover screw.
How should I treat the worksurface?
Use a desk pad under daily writing if you want a flawless top, or let the marks accrue honestly — either is a fair way to own it. A damp cloth for cleanup and a yearly re-oil keep the surface rich, and a deep scratch spot-sands out at home.
How does a desk arrive?
Made to order, with the slab and base packed separately in padded cartons and hardware bagged to the frame. Tracking covers every box; check the cartons before signing and anything the carrier got wrong, we make right.
Do the X legs get in the way of a chair?
No. The intersecting legs support the slab at its ends, keeping the space beneath open — a standard task chair rolls under with room to spare, and knees never meet a stretcher.
