Natural wood, one piece at a time

Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.

General care

These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Dimensions & assembly

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.

Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.

Shipping & returns

Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.

Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

Grain and shadow at wall scale

The piece

Plate I
Plate II

The wall piece that reads as grown, not made.

The silhouette borrows from root and branch systems, drawn at full scale before a single cut. Artisans saw and carve the openings by hand, then sand every interior edge — the surfaces a close viewer checks first. The boards behind it are matched by tone and kiln-dried twenty days, because a spread this wide has to hang flat for good.

Big walls defeat most decor — a print floats small on them, a mirror reads cold, a gallery grid takes a month of nail holes. This piece takes the whole field with grain, shadow, and negative space, and it ships with a template that puts the anchors in studs. From the sofa it becomes the room's horizon line.

  • One oversized blank wall? This piece scales to fill it.
  • Real depth and shadow — it changes with the room's light.
  • Worried about hanging it? A template marks the studs.
  • Anchors a living room, stairwell, or bedroom wall.
  • Reads bold across the room, hand-sanded up close.

It fits real homes.

Friday, records on

Friday, records on

Friday, nine o'clock, no screens on. One floor lamp throws the branching shadows long up the wall while a record turns, and the living room feels designed by its owners, not assembled from a warehouse.

August, boxes waiting

August, boxes waiting

New house, August, boxes still stacked in the garage. The wall piece goes up the first weekend — before the curtains, before the sofa's rug — because the long blank wall was the thing that made the place feel unowned.

The dinner-party lull

The dinner-party lull

Mid-dinner lull, coffee on. A guest crosses the room to trace one branch through its openings and loses the route twice. Who made this? is the question the host has learned to expect.

Teak, up close.

Grain that reads quiet

Tight, straight grain travels each branch — calm figure that keeps a bold silhouette from ever feeling busy, and catches raking light along every limb.

Grain that reads quiet

The finish nature applied

Teak carries its own oils; we hand-rub more into every limb and opening until the whole spread holds a warm satin. New on the wall, the room smells briefly of a woodshop.

The finish nature applied

Density you can feel

At roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, with the lowest shrinkage of the common hardwoods and twenty days of kiln drying behind it, the form hangs flat through furnace winters and humid Augusts alike.

Density you can feel

Golden now, silver whenever

Silver-grey takes outdoor sun and rain; on a living room wall the gold only deepens. Walls with hard afternoon sun shift it slowly and evenly — teak fades milder than walnut in the same window.

Golden now, silver whenever

From plank to piece.

The wood selection

The wood selection

Boards are pulled one at a time and matched by tone across the spread — selectors with thirty years at the stacks cull twist, checks, and dull figure.

The shaping process

The shaping process

The branching silhouette is traced at full scale and sawn slightly proud of the line, leaving material for the handwork inside every opening.

The hand refinement

The hand refinement

Every limb and interior edge is sanded through five grits until the form feels finished from any angle a hand can reach.

The final inspection

The final inspection

Oil goes on in thin coats, buffed between each. The maker hangs the piece on the shop wall, checks flatness and hardware, and signs it out.

One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

The Timber Vintique workshop

No two boards alike

The grain that arrives is yours alone.

  1. Every board is cut from a different tree — the photos here are a reference, not a promise.
  2. Your piece is photographed in the workshop before it ships, so you see your exact grain.
  3. Small knots and mineral streaks come with real wood. We leave them in.

Delivery, done properly.

White-glove option

Choose white-glove and the crew brings the piece inside, places it in the room, and removes every bit of packaging.

Crated for freight

Each piece travels in its own wooden crate with corner protection, built to cross the country without a scuff.

Scheduled window

You get a delivery appointment and tracking — not a truck that shows up unannounced.

Honest returns

30 days from payment. If it isn't right — unused, in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup. Made-to-order terms are stated up front.

Questions customers usually ask

What is the wall art made from?
Solid teak panels and limbs, sawn and carved — real depth and shadow, not a printed pattern. Every interior edge is hand-sanded, which is the first place a close viewer looks.
Can a piece be scaled to my wall?
Yes — dimensions scale to your wall since each piece is made to order. Send a photo of the space with rough measurements and we will suggest proportions before the build starts.
How does it hang?
Hanging hardware is fitted at the workshop — keyhole slots or French cleats by weight — with matching anchors in the box. Most pieces hang on two screws.
Does wooden wall art need maintenance?
Dust with a soft dry brush or cloth. Avoid walls with hard, direct afternoon sun if you can — teak's shift is mild and even, gentler than walnut's — and nothing else is required year to year.
How does wall art ship?
Each piece ships flat in a rigid, foam-lined carton with the hardware taped inside. Photograph the carton on arrival and note any damage on the receipt — if the carrier was rough, we make it right.
How heavy is a piece this size, and will my wall hold it?
Solid teak has real weight, so each piece ships with hardware rated for its actual build — French cleats on the largest spans — and a template marking the anchor points. Anchored into studs as directed, an ordinary wall carries it easily.
