Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.
General care
These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Dimensions & assembly
Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.
Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.
Shipping & returns
Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.
Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

The piece
A carved moon that keeps watch over bedtime.
The designers composed a small night sky — crescent moon, layered clouds, scattered stars — and set the LED to graze the carving rather than glare from it. Each layer is cut from solid teak dried twenty slow days in the kiln, finished with natural oil: no lacquer film, nothing to off-gas, and every edge a child might one day touch sanded round by hand.
Plastic nightlights get outgrown and tossed with the crib. A carved teak moon is nursery equipment that graduates — dim companion for the 3 a.m. feed, storybook light at five, the bedroom's quiet landmark at fifteen. It arrives smelling like wood, not like chemicals, which in a sleeping child's room is exactly the point.

Teak, up close.
Grain that reads quiet
Tight, straight grain runs through the moon and cloud layers, and when the LED grazes the surface at night the figure shows in soft relief — the wood itself becomes part of the sky, different by an inch on every panel we carve.
The finish nature applied
Teak carries its own natural oils; we hand-rub more into the carved face. The panel arrives with teak's faint sweet-leathery scent instead of a finish smell — natural oil, low VOC, no film to peel over a crib, nothing for a warm LED to bake fumes out of.
Density you can feel
At roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, with about half the seasonal movement of oak, the layered panel hangs flat and holds its carved detail — through furnace-dry winters, and through the humidifier running all season in a nursery.
Golden now, silver whenever
In a bedroom the moon will not silver — that takes outdoor sun and rain. It deepens slowly toward honey-amber, warming under the LED year by year, so the night sky your teenager reads under is a shade richer than the one over the crib.
From plank to piece.
The wood selection
Selectors with thirty years at the lumber stacks pull teak boards and match tone and grain across the sky scene; stock with twist, checks, or dull figure never makes the cut.
The shaping process
Moon, cloud, and star layers are traced from templates, then cut slightly proud of the line — spare material left for the knife work that sharpens each detail.
The hand refinement
Every carved edge and layered face is sanded by hand through five successively finer grits until the whole scene feels smooth against an open palm — crib-rail smooth, on purpose.
The final inspection
Oil goes on in thin coats, buffed between each. The maker runs the LED in a darkened corner of the shop, checks the glow across every layer of the carving, and signs the panel out.
One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

Choose white-glove and the crew brings the piece inside, places it in the room, and removes every bit of packaging.

Each piece travels in its own wooden crate with corner protection, built to cross the country without a scuff.

You get a delivery appointment and tracking — not a truck that shows up unannounced.
Honest returns
30 days from payment. If it isn't right — unused, in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup. Made-to-order terms are stated up front.

What is the wall art made from?
Wall art in this collection is worked from solid-wood panels and slices — carved, joined, or arranged — so the piece has real depth and shadow, not a printed pattern. Solid teak with a natural oil finish also means no particleboard and no formaldehyde-based adhesives anywhere near a sleeping child.
Can a piece be scaled to my wall?
Yes — dimensions scale to your wall since each piece is made to order. Send a photo of the space with rough measurements and we will suggest proportions before the build starts.
How does it hang?
Hanging hardware is fitted at the workshop — keyhole slots or French cleats by weight — with matching anchors in the box. Most pieces hang on two screws.
Does wooden wall art need maintenance?
Dust with a soft dry brush or cloth, and avoid walls with hard afternoon sun so the tones shift evenly. The oil finish needs nothing on a wall piece — there is no film to crack or yellow over the years, and nothing to re-coat.
How does wall art ship?
Each piece is made to order and ships flat in a rigid, foam-lined carton with the hardware taped inside. Photograph the carton if it arrives damaged and note it on the receipt — that makes any claim fast. Tracking is emailed to you once it ships.
How is the LED powered?
The lighting is fitted and tested at the workshop and runs from a standard US wall outlet. Tell us where your nearest outlet sits when you order, and ask about low-brightness options if the panel will serve as a nursery nightlight.
