Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.
These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.
Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.
Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.
Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

The piece
This vanity shelf is solid teak, sealed with a waterproof PU finish over the wood's own oils and silica — the same chemistry that put teak on ship decks and in commercial steam rooms for a century. Designers sized the eighteen-inch depth around real basins and faucets; artisans select each board, flatten it true, and hand-sand every edge before sealing, so nothing catches a wet hand.
The fear with wood in a bathroom is black spots. Those are mildew feeding on soap scum on the surface, not the teak rotting — rinse it, run the fan, and years pass with none. Wall-hung, it turns the sink wall into the warmest surface in the room, wood that never goes cold the way tile does on a January morning, and the open floor keeps a small bath calm.
Watch off, ring beside it, water running. The weekday starts at this shelf, and the teak stays warm underfoot of a bare hand while the tile floor is still cold. The morning splash beads and wipes; nothing swells, nothing warps.
Guests step in to wash their hands before Thanksgiving dinner and come out slower than they went in. Someone always runs a palm along the wood under the sink and asks where it came from — the powder room doing quiet work all evening.
9:30 on a Sunday, a folded towel and a glass of wine within reach on the shelf beside the tub. Steam rises past the teak and it only warms to it — the week ends here, in heat, with nowhere left to be.

Tight, straight, even grain runs the full width of the vanity top — the calm figure that made teak the wood collectors ask for by name, and grippy underhand even when the mirror fogs.
Teak carries its own natural oils beneath the sealed top coat, deepening the golden tone to a warm satin. It arrives smelling faintly of wood, not of solvent off-gassing in a small closed room, because there is no particleboard core to release anything.
At roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, with some of the lowest absorption of any hardwood, the vanity top stays flat through daily steam and the constant humidity swings a shared bathroom lives with.
Left untended in constant damp, teak can dull toward grey — a surface layer only. A light sanding and fresh finish bring the top back to gold anytime, which a peeling film finish on lesser wood never allows.
Boards are pulled one at a time by a thirty-year selector and matched by tone across the top. Stock with twist, checks, or dull figure never makes the cut.
The top is cut to your width and depth, slightly proud of the line, leaving material for the handwork on every edge that a wet hand will meet.
Surfaces are sanded by hand through five successive grits until every corner of the vanity feels right against an open palm.
The waterproof finish cures in thin coats. The maker checks flatness, sealing, and edges before the shelf leaves the workshop.
One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.
