Natural wood, one piece at a time

Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.

General care

These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Dimensions & assembly

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.

Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.

Shipping & returns

Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.

Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

Solid teak · Wall tree bookshelf

A tree grows across your wall

The piece

Plate I
Plate II

The bookcase that reads as sculpture from the sofa.

Real branches, not a silhouette of them. A thirty-year selector picks teak limbs one by one for reach and load, dried twenty days in a controlled kiln so they hold true once loaded, then composes them into a five-foot-tall, nearly six-foot-wide form where every branch is also a shelf. Because the branches are genuine, no two walls ever carry the same tree.

It claims a living-room wall the way a fireplace claims a room. Books, small plants, and framed photos settle among the limbs, and the floating mount surrenders no floor. Your tree's silhouette will differ from the photo because real branches never repeat — that is the proof it is one of one, not a disclaimer buried in fine print.

  • Branch shelves hold books, plants, and framed photos
  • Low limbs put picture books at kid height
  • Anchors a living room, nursery, or office wall
  • Nearly six feet of spread reads across the room
  • Floating mount — no floor space surrendered

It fits real homes.

Picking tonight's story

Picking tonight's story

The lowest branches belong to the kids: picture books face-out, chosen by cover at bedtime. The tree hands each one down at exactly their height, and the reading pile never ends up on the nursery floor.

The wall that gets photographed

The wall that gets photographed

Every gathering, someone stands back with a phone to frame the whole tree — books, plants, branches and all — then asks you to text where it came from. The wall does the talking.

The seasonal reshuffle

The seasonal reshuffle

First rainy Sunday of October: summer paperbacks migrate up, the thick winter novels come down within reach, and a small pumpkin claims the middle branch. Rearranging lets the afternoon light tone the wood evenly.

Teak, up close.

Grain that reads quiet

Tight, straight, even grain follows each branch from trunk to tip — the calm figure that made teak the wood collectors ask for by name. Trace a limb and the ridges barely register underhand.

Grain that reads quiet

The finish nature applied

Teak carries its own natural oils. We hand-rub more into every limb and shelf face, deepening the golden tone to a warm satin that catches lamplight along the branches at night.

The finish nature applied

Density you can feel

At roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, with some of the lowest shrinkage of any hardwood, each branch shelf carries its row of books without a hint of bow, winter heat or not.

Density you can feel

Golden now, silver whenever

Indoors, teak deepens toward honey rather than graying — silvering takes outdoor sun and rain. A light sanding and fresh oil bring the branches' gold back anytime.

Golden now, silver whenever

From plank to piece.

The wood selection

The wood selection

Selectors with thirty years at the stacks pull teak branches one at a time for reach, strength, and figure, then dry them twenty days in a controlled kiln. Limbs with checks or weak forks never make the cut.

The shaping process

The shaping process

Branches are trimmed slightly proud of the composition, shelf surfaces flattened — material reserved for the handwork that balances the whole tree.

The hand refinement

The hand refinement

Every limb and shelf face is sanded through successive grits until each branch feels right against an open palm.

The final inspection

The final inspection

Oil goes on in thin coats, buffed between each. The maker checks every mounting point and shelf level before the tree ships.

One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

The Timber Vintique workshop

No two boards alike

The grain that arrives is yours alone.

  1. Every board is cut from a different tree — the photos here are a reference, not a promise.
  2. Your piece is photographed in the workshop before it ships, so you see your exact grain.
  3. Small knots and mineral streaks come with real wood. We leave them in.

Delivery, done properly.

White-glove option

Choose white-glove and the crew brings the piece inside, places it in the room, and removes every bit of packaging.

Crated for freight

Each piece travels in its own wooden crate with corner protection, built to cross the country without a scuff.

Scheduled window

You get a delivery appointment and tracking — not a truck that shows up unannounced.

Honest returns

30 days from payment. If it isn't right — unused, in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup. Made-to-order terms are stated up front.

Questions customers usually ask

What exactly is a wall tree bookshelf?
Each wall tree is cut from solid wood into a branching form whose limbs are the shelves — sculpture from the sofa, storage up close. No veneer, no hollow branches; the limbs are solid teak that carries a row of books without bowing.
Can I choose the height and spread?
Yes. Height, spread, and branch count are made to order — a six-foot tree for a child's reading corner, or a nine-foot spread across a living-room wall. Send your wall dimensions and we compose to them.
How does it mount to the wall?
The tree mounts in sections on included hardware, anchored into studs at marked points. A paper template locates every screw, and two people make quick work of the larger spreads; nothing hangs on drywall alone.
How do I care for it once loaded?
Dust the limbs when you dust the books and re-oil exposed edges yearly. Rearranging the books now and then lets sunlight tone the wood evenly, so no branch fades ahead of the rest.
How does it ship?
Wall trees ship made to order in flat, sectioned cartons with templates and hardware packed first on top. Photograph the cartons on arrival and note any damage; tracking follows the shipment from the workshop to your door.
What wall space does this tree need?
This composition stands 60 inches tall and spreads 70 inches wide, so plan for roughly a six-by-five-foot clear wall. Because real branches are used, your tree's silhouette will differ slightly from the photos — each one is composed fresh.
