Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.
These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.
Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.
Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.
Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

The piece
Each tree bookshelf starts as real teak branches, chosen one at a time for the way they fork and reach. A wood selector with thirty years at the stacks taps each limb, then the branches dry twenty days in a temperature-controlled kiln so they finish moving before shaping. Artisans sand through five grits and rub oil deep into the grain — solid teak throughout, no plywood core under a bark-print skin.
If your last bookcase was a hollow-core kit that bowed under a row of hardcovers by year two, this is the correction. The limbs carry books at every height and come down in sections when the lease ends, so the tree moves to the next wall with you. Load it, live around it, and the dead vertical space by the window becomes the thing you quietly show off.
School night, 7:45. The lowest limb sits at a six-year-old's reach, and the same small hand hovers, picks one picture book, and carries it off to bed. Two years in, that branch reads a shade warmer where fingers land nightly — teak keeping the record of a routine.
July 31st, the busiest moving day in America. The tree comes off the wall in three sections and rides the truck wrapped in blankets, because by now it counts. The particleboard bookcase stays at the curb with a FREE sign, its second move one too many.
8:58 on a Tuesday, camera on. The branches behind the desk read calm on screen — one plant, a handful of spines, nothing cluttered — and a coworker asks about the grain before anyone shares a slide. The one hour all week the home office looks deliberate.

Tight, straight grain follows each branch from trunk to tip. Run a palm along a limb and it reads glass-smooth one way, faintly toothy the other — the signature of real sanded teak, never a laminate wrap that peels at the first chipped corner.
Teak carries its own natural oils; artisans hand-rub more into every limb and shelf face. Open the cartons and the room smells like a woodshop for a day — sweet, faintly leathery, wood rather than chemicals, with nothing to off-gas in a child's room.
At roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, with shrinkage about half that of oak, the mounted limbs hold their line when forced-air heat drops a Midwest living room into the low-twenties humidity for weeks of January.
Outdoors teak weathers silver-grey; indoors, away from rain and UV, it deepens toward honey-amber instead. Either way the change is surface-thin — a light sanding and fresh oil bring any branch back to gold in an afternoon.
A selector with thirty years at the lumber stacks chooses branches one at a time for fork, reach, and sound wood, tapping each limb and rejecting any that ring off or show hidden checks.
The tree's spread is laid out full scale in chalk on the workshop floor, then each branch is cut slightly proud — leaving material for the handwork that follows.
Every limb is sanded by hand through five grit stages until bark lines and knots feel right against an open palm, smooth enough that a wool sleeve never catches.
Oil goes on in thin coats, buffed between each. The maker hangs the sections on a test wall and loads every mounting point before the tree is signed out.
One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.
