Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.
These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.
Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.
Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.
Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

The piece
The silhouette is minimal on purpose: flowing curves, open shelving, no back panel to close off the wall. Designers pared the form until only the line remained; the makers join solid teak blocks, fair each curve by hand, and finish with oil so the grain stays the star. There is no veneer skin to lift at an edge and no particleboard to sag under a full row.
A backless open shelf hides nothing, so the build has to be honest all the way through. It holds a surprising load without ever looking full, the boards dried twenty days in a controlled kiln so the curved spans stay true when the seasons swing, and visitors assume it came from a design shop three brackets up. The owner lets them think so for a moment.
Friday, 6:30, dinner on the stove and the shelf's low light warming the teak across the room. One switch and the house shifts from daytime to evening; the grain lifts into relief along the curves while a record turns on the stand nearby.
Nine at night, tea in one hand, the other drifting along the open shelves in the lamplight. A book pulled from a shelf like this somehow gets read, not just started, and the open back lets the wall color show between the spines.
December 26th, third gathering in two weeks. The top curve has held the holiday cards since the 12th, the middle takes the framed photos, and the year gets reviewed one shelf at a time as relatives drift through with cocoa.

Tight, straight, even grain travels the curved uprights and shelf faces — the calm figure that made teak the wood collectors ask for by name. Under the shelf's own light band the figure lifts into soft relief after dark.
Teak carries its own natural oils; we hand-rub more into every open shelf face. The golden tone deepens to a warm satin that never feels like plastic, and the piece arrives smelling of wood rather than a factory.
At roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, with movement about half that of oak, the open spans hold rows of books without a hint of sag. Twenty days in a temperature-controlled kiln settle the wood before shaping, so the curves stay true through furnace winters and humid Augusts.
Indoors teak deepens toward honey-amber over the years; the silver-grey patina takes outdoor sun and rain, not a lamplit wall. If a bright window lightens one shelf, a light sanding and fresh oil bring the gold back in an afternoon.
Teak blocks are pulled one at a time by selectors with thirty years at the lumber stacks, matched by tone through the joined frame. Twisted or checked stock never makes the cut.
The minimal silhouette is traced from workshop templates, then cut slightly proud of the line, leaving material for the fairing that gives every curve its final profile.
Uprights and shelf edges are sanded through five grits until the whole line reads smooth under an open palm, from the top curve to the floor.
Oil goes on in thin coats, buffed between each. The maker loads test weight, checks joints, stance, and level on a flat bench, and rakes a lamp across the finish before the shelf is signed out.
One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.
