Natural wood, one piece at a time

Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.

General care

These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Dimensions & assembly

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.

Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.

Shipping & returns

Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.

Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

Solid teak · Console table

A carved wave that anchors the wall

The piece

Plate I
Plate II

The grain rides one continuous wave from end to end.

Solid teak blocks are joined and carved into a form that rolls like water held still, the open shelving tucked inside the swell. Honesty about the build: it ships in sections to survive the truck, then joins with pre-fitted connections at your wall. Artisans shape and sand every transition by hand until the seams disappear into the motion.

Open-plan rooms have a furniture problem — pieces float like afterthoughts because no wall tells them where to stop. A long, low wave of carved teak draws that line itself: living room ends here, entry begins there. Set it once and the whole floor plan reads on purpose, which is the quiet pleasure of owning the piece that organizes the room.

  • Long top catches keys, mail, and lamps at the door
  • Open curl keeps books and baskets reachable, not buried
  • Low profile leaves hallway sightlines and outlets clear
  • Behind a sofa, it draws the zone line walls don't
  • Carved form furnishes a bare rental wall without nails

It fits real homes.

7:40, school morning

Keys and mail land on the crest, the dog leash comes off its hook, one kid fights a shoe, and everyone is out the door in thirty seconds. The clutter stops here instead of spreading through the house.

The loft gets a line

The loft gets a line

First weekend in the wall-less loft, the console lands behind the sofa and the room finally has a boundary. They taped its outline on the floor before ordering; it fits like it was drawn on.

December 26th

The console has been the bar since the 12th — third party in two weeks. Punch-bowl condensation wipes off the oiled teak without a ghost, the host exhales, and the long curl still holds its line of lamplight.

Teak, up close.

Grain that reads quiet

Tight, straight grain follows the curl through every joined section, and in raking morning light the wave throws a soft moving shadow down the hall — figure that made teak the wood collectors ask for by name.

Grain that reads quiet

The finish nature applied

Teak carries its own natural oils. We hand-rub more into the top and shelf faces, so wet umbrellas and sweating glasses leave marks that wipe away — a warm satin, never a plastic film.

The finish nature applied

Density you can feel

At roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, with shrinkage about half of oak's, the long joined form holds its line through the winter-summer humidity swing that opens seams in lesser consoles.

Density you can feel

Golden now, silver whenever

Indoors the surface deepens toward caramel rather than greying — silver takes outdoor sun and rain. In a bright south-facing hall the shift is slow and even; a light sanding and fresh oil restore the gold anytime.

Golden now, silver whenever

From plank to piece.

The wood selection

The wood selection

Solid blocks come out of a twenty-day kiln cycle before joining, matched by tone and grain so the wave reads as one piece of timber, not many.

The shaping process

The shaping process

The rolling profile is traced from templates, then bandsawn slightly proud of the line — leaving material for the handwork that fairs every curve.

The hand refinement

The hand refinement

Inner curls and outer sweeps are sanded through five grits until each transition feels continuous under an open palm, with no seam to find by touch.

The final inspection

The final inspection

Oil goes on in thin coats, buffed between each. The maker dry-fits the sections, checks the joins and level, and packs each one against its neighbor.

One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

The Timber Vintique workshop

No two boards alike

The grain that arrives is yours alone.

  1. Every board is cut from a different tree — the photos here are a reference, not a promise.
  2. Your piece is photographed in the workshop before it ships, so you see your exact grain.
  3. Small knots and mineral streaks come with real wood. We leave them in.

Delivery, done properly.

White-glove option

Choose white-glove and the crew brings the piece inside, places it in the room, and removes every bit of packaging.

Crated for freight

Each piece travels in its own wooden crate with corner protection, built to cross the country without a scuff.

Scheduled window

You get a delivery appointment and tracking — not a truck that shows up unannounced.

Honest returns

30 days from payment. If it isn't right — unused, in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup. Made-to-order terms are stated up front.

Questions customers usually ask

What are the console tables made from?
Solid teak blocks joined and carved — no veneer, no MDF core under the curve. That is why the surface can be sanded and re-oiled for decades; a veneered wave cannot survive its first refinish.
Do you build to fit narrow hallways?
Consoles are made to order, so length and depth adjust to your hallway or entry. A narrow ten-inch depth for tight halls is one of our most common builds — tape the outline on the floor first and send us the numbers.
Will I need to assemble it?
Yes — this design ships in solid-wood sections to travel safely, then joins with pre-fitted connections on arrival. Plan on two people and an unhurried half hour; instructions and hardware are included, and every section is dry-fitted at the workshop first.
What care does a console need?
Dust with a soft cloth and wipe vase or umbrella water when you see it — oiled teak sheds rings that would ghost a lacquered top. An annual ten-minute oiling keeps the surface ready for daily keys and hands.
How is a console packed?
Each section rides in a fitted crate or double-walled carton with rigid corner guards. Photograph the packaging before the driver leaves and note any damage on the receipt — if transit wins a round, we make it right.
