Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.
These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.
Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.
Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.
Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

The piece
The designers gave this console generous proportions — 40 inches across, a slim 12 deep — then stopped drawing where the live edge begins. A selector with thirty years at the lumber stacks chooses the teak slab for its contour, a twenty-day kiln takes the moisture down until the meter says done, and the maker follows the tree's own line by hand before oiling the surface to an even warmth.
Order from a render and the fear is a stranger arriving — two shades off, a different table than the photo. Here the variance is the whole point: no two live edges ripple the same way, so the edge you receive is the piece's provenance, never a disclaimer. Teak runs honey to deep caramel and settles darker in its first sunny months — the reason we photograph your actual slab before it ships.
Garland along the back, two stockings hung from the apron, a candle burning low on the twenty-sixth after the third party in two weeks. Every ornament changes yearly; the teak beneath is the one constant in the holiday photos.
The weekly grocery-store bouquet lands in the same vase on the same spot of live edge. Ten dollars, one small ritual, and the hallway is dressed again for seven more days.
When the dining table fills for Sunday dinner, the science-fair volcano migrates to the console. Forty inches of teak hold the mess overnight, and the oiled surface takes the spilled paint and wipes clean by breakfast.

Tight, straight, even grain runs the full 40 inches of the top — the calm figure that made teak the wood collectors ask for by name. Low winter light rakes across it and the figure lifts.
Teak carries its own natural oils. We hand-rub more into the top and live edge, a warm satin that never feels like plastic — hot candle wax lifts off it once cooled, leaving no ghost.
At roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, with some of the lowest shrinkage of any hardwood, the long top stays flat and true against the wall through a dry, heated winter.
Left alone, teak weathers toward a refined silver-grey — a surface change only, and one indoor air never starts. A light sanding and fresh oil bring the console back to gold anytime.
Teak slabs are pulled one at a time for the contour of their natural edge, then dried twenty days in a controlled kiln. Twisted or dull stock never makes it.
The base is traced from templates and the top cut slightly proud, leaving the live edge for careful handwork.
The live edge is sanded through successive grits until every ripple of the tree's line feels smooth to an open palm.
Oil goes on in thin coats, buffed between each. The maker checks level and stance before the console leaves.
One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.
