Natural wood, one piece at a time

Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.

General care

These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Dimensions & assembly

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.

Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.

Shipping & returns

Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.

Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

Solid teak · Coffee table

Knee-high, solid teak, zero coaster patrol

The piece

Plate I
Plate II

The room's gathering point, knee-high.

The proportions came first — the top set low and generous so it serves the sofa and the floor cushions equally. The teak is solid through the full thickness of the top, boards pulled by selectors with thirty years at the lumber stacks and dried twenty days in the kiln, so the surface stays flat when the furnace runs.

A coffee table absorbs more of a family's life than any other surface — mugs, boots, board games, the dog's tail twice a night. Oiled teak is built for that contact: rings wipe off, and a real scratch spot-sands and re-oils at home in ten minutes. The marks that stay are the ones you decide to keep.

  • Low top serves sofa and floor seating alike
  • Generous surface holds trays, games, and books at once
  • Sweating glasses wipe away — no coaster patrol
  • Scratches spot-sand and re-oil at home in minutes
  • Classic lines fit farmhouse, rustic, and traditional rooms

It fits real homes.

Saturday crossword

Saturday crossword

Saturday, 9 am, coffee at one corner and the folded puzzle in the middle. The pencil rolls to the table's eased edge and stops there. The morning takes exactly as long as it wants.

Snow-day headquarters

Snow-day headquarters

School closed, the board game open by ten. The low top puts the dice within reach of kids on cushions and adults on the sofa alike, and the teak takes every bounce without complaint.

The Saturday fix

The Saturday fix

A Lego-heavy week left one gouge near the table's leg. Saturday morning: ten minutes, fine sandpaper, a rag of oil — gone. Try that with a glass top or a laminate one.

Teak, up close.

Grain that reads quiet

Tight, straight, even grain runs the length of the polished top — teak's calm figure, plain-spoken enough for a farmhouse room, catching low morning sun across every board.

Grain that reads quiet

The finish nature applied

Teak carries its own oils; the hand-rubbed finish deepens the top to a warm satin that sheds a sweating glass without ghosting — red wine overnight is a wipe, not a refinish.

The finish nature applied

Density you can feel

At roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, with about half the seasonal movement of oak, the low top stays flat under years of mugs, board games, and January heat.

Density you can feel

Golden now, silver whenever

Indoors the gold deepens with the years rather than fading; a twenty-minute oiling brings the top back after any hard season of hosting.

Golden now, silver whenever

From plank to piece.

The wood selection

The wood selection

Boards for the top are pulled one at a time at the rack and matched by tone so the grain runs the table's full length.

The shaping process

The shaping process

The low profile is cut from templates slightly proud of the line, leaving material for the hand-shaped, eased edges.

The hand refinement

The hand refinement

The top and eased edges are sanded through five successive grits until forearms and mugs land on nothing but smooth.

The final inspection

The final inspection

Oil goes on in thin coats, buffed between each; the maker levels the table and checks the top under a raking light before it ships.

One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

The Timber Vintique workshop

No two boards alike

The grain that arrives is yours alone.

  1. Every board is cut from a different tree — the photos here are a reference, not a promise.
  2. Your piece is photographed in the workshop before it ships, so you see your exact grain.
  3. Small knots and mineral streaks come with real wood. We leave them in.

Delivery, done properly.

White-glove option

Choose white-glove and the crew brings the piece inside, places it in the room, and removes every bit of packaging.

Crated for freight

Each piece travels in its own wooden crate with corner protection, built to cross the country without a scuff.

Scheduled window

You get a delivery appointment and tracking — not a truck that shows up unannounced.

Honest returns

30 days from payment. If it isn't right — unused, in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup. Made-to-order terms are stated up front.

Questions customers usually ask

Is the tabletop really solid wood?
Solid wood through the full thickness of the top — no veneer, no particleboard core anywhere. That is why the surface can be sanded and refinished for decades, the test a veneered top can never survive, and why it reads heavy on a scale.
Can I adjust the size or height?
Standard sizes fit most sofas, but each table is built after you order, so length, height, and shape can be adjusted. Two inches lower for a deep sofa is a common request — tell us your sofa's seat height.
How much assembly is required?
Most designs arrive fully assembled; a few ship with legs off to protect them in transit. Those bolt on in minutes with the included key — no wordless diagrams, no leftover screw.
How do I care for the top?
Coasters help but are not a rule; wipe spills when you see them and dry the surface. A white ring that does form lifts with a cloth and a warm dry iron in under a minute, and a thin coat of oil once or twice a year keeps the top rich.
How are coffee tables delivered?
Coffee tables are made to order, wrapped, corner-blocked, and crated when size demands. Check the packaging before the driver leaves and note anything on the receipt; you get tracking at dispatch and a heads-up before any freight delivery.
How low is a farmhouse low table?
This design sits lower than a standard coffee table by intention, keeping the top comfortable from both a sofa and floor cushions. The exact height is set when you order — tell us your sofa's seat height and we will match it.
