Wall art for completing a space

Solid wood, shaped by hand, made for every day.

A useful piece can also be the detail you remember in a room: a shape, a curve, a line of grain you notice every day.

In the room

A gesture of thanks

A gesture of thanks

Writing a thank-you note to a neighbor who helped when it mattered. On the wall, a dark carved hand brushes across a round orange sun, grooves circling out like ripples, a quiet gesture of thanks.

The Timber Vintique workshop includes artisans with 30 years of hands-on woodworking experience. That depth of practice informs the patient decisions that give an individual wood piece its balance and character.

How custom orders work

Made for your space

A little knowledge. A better choice.

Furniture can carry an artistic idea

Museum collections show furniture as both useful objects and decorative arts. For your room, look at silhouette, negative space and the direction of the grain—the details that make a functional piece worth pausing over.

Test the view before the size

Outline the proposed piece with paper and look from the doorway, sofa, and usual walking route. Record which view matters most. A custom silhouette can respond to those sightlines, while its final dimensions and placement remain part of the confirmed brief.

Material

Natural wood, up close.

The grain

The grain

Grain follows the structure of a living tree, so no two boards match; photos show a design reference.

The surface

The surface

Color and sheen come from the wood and its finish; the finish you choose is not a wood species.

The movement

The movement

Wood exchanges moisture with the air, so place it away from direct heat, vents and standing water.
