Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.
These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.
Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.
Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.
Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

The piece
The design solves the doorway in one silhouette: curving teak branches carry coats and hats up high while wooden bars at staggered heights rack shoes below. The artisan selects each branch for its reach, shapes the hanging bars by hand, and sands every curve smooth — solid teak throughout, no plastic pegs to snap off in a year.
A coat closet you do not have is the daily friction, and a flat-pack rack that racks loose inside a month is the usual bad fix. This one stands on a weighted base and holds four winter parkas without a lean, because the teak dried twenty days in the kiln and barely moves once it is home. Buy it once and the entry starts keeping itself.
7:40, backpacks half-zipped, one shoe missing — except it isn't. Both pairs sit on their bars where they landed yesterday, and the school run leaves on time for once. The lowest rail has gone smooth where sneakers scuff it every single morning.
The Saturday before Christmas, four heavy coats arrive with the dinner guests. The branches take them all without a groan, scarves looped over the shorter limbs, and nobody's parka ends up in a heap on the bed.
A smaller branch holds the things that greet you home — a framed photo, the good sunglasses, sometimes a sprig of eucalyptus that leaves the whole entry smelling like a walk in the cold.

Tight, straight, even grain runs the length of every branch and shoe bar — the calm figure that made teak the wood collectors ask for by name. Bare hands meet it a dozen times a day and it only gets smoother.
Teak carries its own natural oils. We hand-rub more into the trunk and hanging bars, deepening the golden tone to a warm satin that shrugs off the drip of a wet raincoat instead of clouding.
At roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, with some of the lowest shrinkage of any hardwood, the rack carries winter coats without wobble even as forced-air heat dries the hallway all season.
Left alone, teak weathers to a refined silver-grey — a surface change only, not damage. A light sanding and fresh oil bring the trunk's gold back anytime.
After a twenty-day kiln cycle, branches are chosen one at a time for curve and hanging reach. Limbs with twist, checks, or dull figure never make the cut.
Hanging bars and shoe rails are cut slightly proud of the line, leaving material for the handwork that finishes each curve where a coat will slide.
Every bar and branch tip is sanded by hand through successive grits — coats and hands meet this wood daily, so it must feel right.
Oil goes on in thin coats, buffed between each. The maker loads the rack and checks its stance before it leaves the workshop.
One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.
