Natural wood, one piece at a time

Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.

General care

These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Dimensions & assembly

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.

Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.

Shipping & returns

Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.

Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

Solid teak · Tree trunk vanity

It was a tree first

The piece

Plate I
Plate II

A vanity that keeps the tree in plain sight.

Most vanities hide their origins under paint. This one leads with them. Our makers select a trunk section for sound structure and honest figure, dry and stabilize it over weeks, then shape and seal it by hand for bathroom duty — every ring, check, and contour left legible on purpose. Solid teak clear through, no hollow core.

Order from a render and you can end up with a piece two shades off the photo; a trunk vanity flips that worry into the point. No two sections repeat, so the grain you receive is the provenance of your piece, not a disclaimer. In a vintage bath it is the room's whole argument, and the owner gets to answer, more than once, yes, that is a real trunk.

  • Need a statement basin base? One solid trunk carries it
  • Sealed surfaces take daily steam and splash without swelling
  • One-of-a-kind form — no two trunks ever repeat
  • Anchors a vintage or farmhouse bath with no cabinet run
  • Stands on its own, warm underfoot where tile runs cold

It fits real homes.

The first question

The first question

Every houseguest who uses the powder room comes back with the same opener — is that an actual tree? It is, and the story tells itself from there, no two owners telling it quite the same way.

Rings in morning light

Rings in morning light

Brushing teeth at seven a.m., eye level with growth rings laid down over decades. Warm wood underhand instead of cold tile — a strangely good way to keep a Tuesday in perspective.

The long soak

The long soak

9:30 p.m., candle lit, water running, steam softening the room. One warm, solid form stands quietly in it, never taking on the chill the tile floor does. Bath night has a centerpiece now.

Teak, up close.

Grain that reads quiet

Tight, straight, even grain climbs the trunk face — the calm figure that made teak the wood collectors ask for by name. The rings and contours are left legible, warm to a wet palm rather than tile-cold.

Grain that reads quiet

The finish nature applied

Teak's own oils sit under a sealed surface coat that holds the warm tone through daily steam, with no lacquer smell in a closed room. Water beads on the top rather than soaking into the end grain.

The finish nature applied

Density you can feel

At roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, with some of the lowest shrinkage of any hardwood, the trunk base stands planted and true as shower humidity spikes and the AC dries it back down.

Density you can feel

Golden now, silver whenever

Sealed and indoors, the trunk keeps its honey tone for years; teak only silvers under outdoor sun and rain, never in a bathroom. If the surface dulls, a light refresh brings the warmth back.

Golden now, silver whenever

From plank to piece.

The wood selection

The wood selection

Trunk sections are chosen one at a time by a selector with decades at the lumber stacks, for sound structure and honest figure. Cracked or dull stock never becomes a vanity.

The shaping process

The shaping process

The trunk is dried, stabilized, and cut a hair proud of its final form, leaving material for the handwork that follows.

The hand refinement

The hand refinement

Faces and contours are sanded through five successive grits until the trunk feels right against an open palm, not merely looks right.

The final inspection

The final inspection

Sealer goes on and cures. The maker checks the base for a stable, planted stance and a complete seal before the vanity is signed out.

One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

The Timber Vintique workshop

No two boards alike

The grain that arrives is yours alone.

  1. Every board is cut from a different tree — the photos here are a reference, not a promise.
  2. Your piece is photographed in the workshop before it ships, so you see your exact grain.
  3. Small knots and mineral streaks come with real wood. We leave them in.

Delivery, done properly.

White-glove option

Choose white-glove and the crew brings the piece inside, places it in the room, and removes every bit of packaging.

Crated for freight

Each piece travels in its own wooden crate with corner protection, built to cross the country without a scuff.

Scheduled window

You get a delivery appointment and tracking — not a truck that shows up unannounced.

Honest returns

30 days from payment. If it isn't right — unused, in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup. Made-to-order terms are stated up front.

Questions customers usually ask

Is each vanity really a single tree trunk?
Yes — each vanity begins as one genuine teak trunk section, selected, kiln-dried, stabilized, and sealed for bathroom humidity, carrying a counter or basin. Yours matches no photograph exactly, which is the provenance of a one-of-one piece, not a flaw.
How do I order the right size?
Sizing starts with your space: send width, height, and sink choice, and we select a trunk to suit. We share photos of the actual trunk before finishing begins, so there is no render-versus-reality surprise.
Is the vanity pre-drilled for plumbing?
Typically we do not pre-drill, so fixtures sit exactly where your plumbing wants them. Send your sink and faucet specifications with the order and we will confirm cutouts before finishing begins.
How do I maintain a sealed trunk?
Wipe standing water from the top and base after use and ventilate well — black spots on bath teak are mildew feeding on soap film, not the wood rotting. Reapply the sealer yearly in a daily-use bathroom to keep the trunk protected.
How does a trunk vanity ship?
Trunk vanities are made to order and freight-crated upright with internal bracing. Photograph the crate before the driver leaves and note any damage on the receipt; tracking is provided and the delivery appointment is scheduled with you directly.
