Natural wood, one piece at a time

Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.

General care

These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Dimensions & assembly

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.

Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.

Shipping & returns

Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.

Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

Handcrafted solid wood · Corner shelf

The corner finally has a job

The piece

The corner, claimed.

Renters know the math: the floor plan is fixed, the lease is twelve months, and every square foot of floor is spoken for. A corner shelf takes none of it. Each one is cut from a single solid teak board, its back edges trued against a real ninety, so it sits tight where two walls meet.

In the living room, the emptiest angle becomes the one you look up at — plants, photographs, the small things worth keeping at eye level. And when the lease ends, the shelf comes down, leaves two anchor holes, and moves with you. The walls were never yours. This is.

  • Puts plants at the window corner where floor pots cannot go
  • Kitchen corner perch for mugs, pour-over, and spice jars
  • Photo ledge cut to sit exactly at eye level
  • Bath tiers for towels — teak shrugs off shower steam
  • Bedside overflow for the to-read stack

It fits real homes.

The cat's new overlook

The cat found the lowest tier within a day and audits the living room from it every afternoon. Claw taps show only in raking light, and a spring re-oil erases the evidence. The perch stays.

Saturday, 7:15, pour-over

Two favorite mugs and the pour-over live on the corner shelf by the kitchen window. The first coffee of Saturday now has its own address, and the cabinet door stays shut.

The August re-hang

School portraits move up a tier each fall; the lake photo keeps its spot. Every August the corner gets re-hung like a small museum, and the argument over the top shelf is tradition now.

Made to order

Every piece is made to order, and dimensions vary from one to the next. Need a different size for your space? Tell us your measurements and we'll build it to fit.

Teak, up close.

The grain

Honey and amber bands run the length of each plank. No two boards repeat, so your piece is the only one with this pattern.

The oils

Teak grows its own protective oils, and they carry the wood through dry winters and humid summers that crack lesser boards. Spills just need wiping up promptly.

The weight

Lift a corner and you feel dense, solid stock with no hollow frames or fillers. Kiln-dried before the build, it sits flat and stays put, even when the heat comes on.

The years ahead

Teak deepens toward a richer brown as it lives with you. A wipe of teak oil twice a year holds the tone you chose.

From plank to piece.

Select

Planks graded by practiced eyes, then kiln-dried slowly until they settle.

Mill

Each board cut, squared, and matched to the pattern.

Shape

Joined and eased with hand tools after the machines have done the rough work.

Finish

Sanded fine, then oiled until the grain reads deep.

One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

The Timber Vintique workshop

No two boards alike

The grain that arrives is yours alone.

  1. Every board is cut from a different tree — the photos here are a reference, not a promise.
  2. Your piece is photographed in the workshop before it ships, so you see your exact grain.
  3. Small knots and mineral streaks come with real wood. We leave them in.

Delivery, done properly.

White-glove option

Choose white-glove and the crew brings the piece inside, places it in the room, and removes every bit of packaging.

Crated for freight

Each piece travels in its own wooden crate with corner protection, built to cross the country without a scuff.

Scheduled window

You get a delivery appointment and tracking — not a truck that shows up unannounced.

Honest returns

30 days from payment. If it isn't right — unused, in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup. Made-to-order terms are stated up front.

Questions customers usually ask

How is a corner shelf made?
Each corner shelf is cut from a single piece of solid wood and finished on every visible face, so the grain wraps the corner cleanly instead of meeting at a mismatched seam.
Can the two sides be different lengths?
Yes — leg lengths on each side of the corner can differ. Order a 12-by-12 for a plant, or a 24-by-16 to run along two walls. Custom cuts are standard practice here.
How does it mount without visible brackets?
Concealed corner brackets and hardware are included. The bracket seats into both walls, so the shelf floats with no visible support — anchor into a stud on at least one side for heavier loads.
Anything special about caring for it?
Dust with a dry cloth and keep an eye on sun from nearby windows, which can tone one leg faster than the other. A yearly oiling evens everything out.
How do corner shelves ship?
Corner shelves ship made to order in compact, padded boxes with the bracket and drilling template packed alongside. Tracking is sent as soon as the box leaves the workshop.
How do corner shelves mount — do I need studs in both walls?
No. Corner framing usually puts a stud within reach of at least one side; catch it there and use the included drywall anchors on the other. Concealed hardware ships with each shelf — a level, a drill, and about fifteen minutes, with no bracket showing when you step back.
How much weight can each shelf really hold?
Into a stud, each shelf carries everyday display loads — books, plants, framed photos — comfortably in the 15 to 20 pound range; on anchors alone, plan for less and keep the heavier things low. The board itself will not sag the way hollow veneer boxes do: it is solid teak, kiln-dried for twenty days, so the mounting, not the wood, sets the limit.
