Natural wood, one piece at a time

Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.

General care

These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Dimensions & assembly

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.

Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.

Shipping & returns

Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.

Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

Solid teak · Coffee table

Full-thickness teak at the room's center

The piece

Plate I
Plate II

A sculptural center for everything the living room does.

The interconnected base was drawn and redrawn until it balanced from every seat in the room, then built from teak boards matched by tone and shaped along templates by hand. The top is solid teak through its full thickness — no veneer skin that one sand-through can ruin — under an oil finish you can renew at home with a rag and ten spare minutes.

A coffee table takes the sweating glass, the propped feet, the Lego crash landing — the question is what happens after. Oil-finished teak spot-sands and re-oils in about ten minutes, so marks become patina instead of damage. It sits at the center of the room for decades, and every year it looks more chosen, not more tired.

  • Drinks land straight on oiled teak — rings wipe off, no ghosting
  • Full-thickness solid top; scratches sand out at home in minutes
  • Base reads finished from every seat, including the floor cushions
  • Low profile keeps sightlines to the TV and windows open
  • Takes game night, propped feet, and the candle wreath without protest

It fits real homes.

Fourth quarter

Fourth quarter

Super Bowl Sunday, seven-layer dip at center table like a trophy, a sweating bottle making a ring on the corner nobody is watching. Monday morning the ring wipes off with the crumbs.

Saturday, first coffee

Saturday, first coffee

Saturday, first mug straight on the teak, the crossword unfolding while low sun picks out the ripple in the grain. Nobody polices coasters here — the oiled top takes the heat ring and dries without a ghost mark.

December 26th

December 26th

Three parties in two weeks and the table held the middle of every one — cocoa, board games, a candle wreath. Today it goes back to books and coffee like nothing happened.

Teak, up close.

Grain that reads quiet

Tight, straight grain runs across the tabletop, letting the sculptural base do the talking below. In afternoon sun the figure lifts into a soft ripple you catch from the sofa.

Grain that reads quiet

The finish nature applied

Teak's own oils, deepened with hand-rubbed coats — a warm satin, never a plastic film. Set a palm flat on it in January and it reads warm, not cold.

The finish nature applied

Density you can feel

Roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, kiln-dried twenty days before the first cut — the top stays flat through furnace winters and humid Augusts, its movement already done.

Density you can feel

Golden now, silver whenever

Left alone, the top deepens toward caramel with use — a surface change only. A light sanding and fresh oil bring back the first gold any weekend you choose.

Golden now, silver whenever

From plank to piece.

The wood selection

The wood selection

Boards are pulled one at a time by selectors who have worked the lumber stacks for thirty years, matched by tone and grain across top and base. Twisted stock never makes the cut.

The shaping process

The shaping process

The interlocking base is traced from templates, then bandsawn slightly proud of the line — spare material for the rasp and spokeshave work behind every curve.

The hand refinement

The hand refinement

Top and base are sanded by hand through five grit steps until every edge feels right against an open palm, not merely looks right.

The final inspection

The final inspection

Oil goes on in thin coats, buffed between each. The maker levels the base on a flat bench, checks the joints, and signs the table out of the workshop.

One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

The Timber Vintique workshop

No two boards alike

The grain that arrives is yours alone.

  1. Every board is cut from a different tree — the photos here are a reference, not a promise.
  2. Your piece is photographed in the workshop before it ships, so you see your exact grain.
  3. Small knots and mineral streaks come with real wood. We leave them in.

Delivery, done properly.

White-glove option

Choose white-glove and the crew brings the piece inside, places it in the room, and removes every bit of packaging.

Crated for freight

Each piece travels in its own wooden crate with corner protection, built to cross the country without a scuff.

Scheduled window

You get a delivery appointment and tracking — not a truck that shows up unannounced.

Honest returns

30 days from payment. If it isn't right — unused, in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup. Made-to-order terms are stated up front.

Questions customers usually ask

Is the tabletop really solid wood?
Solid teak through the full thickness of the top — no veneer, no MDF core. That is why it can be sanded and refinished for decades, which a veneer top cannot survive, and why teak's own oils shrug off sweating glasses.
Can I adjust the size or height?
Standard sizes fit most sofas, but each table is built after you order, so length, height, and shape can be adjusted. Two inches lower for a deep sofa is a common request — tape the outline on the floor first and you will know exactly what to ask for.
How much assembly is required?
Most designs arrive fully assembled — a table built as one piece ships as one piece. A few ship with legs off to protect them in transit; those bolt on in minutes with the included key, holes pre-drilled.
How do I care for the top?
Wipe spills when you see them and dry the surface — red wine left overnight wipes off oiled teak clean. A thin coat of oil once or twice a year, when the top looks thirsty, is the whole regimen.
How are coffee tables delivered?
Made to order, wrapped, corner-blocked, and crated when size demands. Photograph the crate before the driver leaves and note anything on the receipt — if it arrives damaged, we make it right, starting from that photo.
Will seasonal decor scratch the top?
A felt pad under ceramic or metal pieces is all the top asks. If something does scratch, fine sandpaper and a rag of oil erase it in ten minutes — between seasons, not between owners.
