Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.
These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.
Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.
Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.
Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

The piece
The designers worked the profile as one continuous wave — seat flowing into back at the angle a body actually rests, not the angle that photographs well. An artisan joins solid teak blocks, carves the curve by hand, and sands it through five grits until the surface asks to be sat in — no foam to flatten, no upholstery to stain, nothing hidden to wear out.
Most accent chairs are bought for a corner and gone in five years, the foam collapsed and the frame racked loose. This one has nothing to collapse: the seat is the wood, and a scratch from a belt buckle spot-sands and re-oils in ten minutes instead of ending the piece. Drape a sheepskin over the wave for winter and it becomes the seat the whole house quietly competes for.
Nursery, 3 am, the only light from the streetlamp. The carved wave holds the feed without a single creak, and a sheepskin softens the back for the twentieth night running. The silence is the whole feature — nothing here to wake the baby back up.
Nine-forty on a weeknight, kids finally down, house finally quiet. The first true sit of the day lands here, and the curved back takes the full weight of all of it — solid teak that never gives the tired sag of a worn-out cushion.
A January snow day, school called off, nothing on the calendar. Coffee, a blanket, a novel, and the chair by the window claim the whole afternoon while the storm handles everything outside. One book, one seat, no reason to get up before dark.

Tight, straight, even grain follows the wave from seat into back — the calm, consistent figure that made teak the wood collectors ask for by name.
Teak carries its own natural oils. We hand-rub more into the seat and backrest, deepening the golden tone to a warm satin that stays kind against skin and never turns cold and slick the way a lacquered film does in a January room.
At roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, with shrinkage among the lowest of any hardwood, the sculpted seat holds its shape under daily weight even as forced-air heat swings the room's humidity down each winter.
Indoors this chair will not silver — the grey weathering needs outdoor sun and rain. Left inside it deepens toward a richer honey-amber, warmest where afternoon light lands, and a light sanding with fresh oil brings the whole curve back to gold whenever you want it.
Blocks are pulled one at a time and matched by tone along the wave. Stock with twist, checks, or dull figure never becomes a seat.
The wave is traced from templates, then bandsawn slightly proud of the line — leaving material for the handwork that fairs the whole curve.
Seat and back are sanded through successive grits until the curve feels right against a resting body, not merely looks right across the room.
Oil goes on in thin coats, buffed between each. The maker sits, rocks, and checks every joint before the chair leaves the workshop.
One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.
