Natural wood, one piece at a time

Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.

General care

These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Dimensions & assembly

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.

Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.

Shipping & returns

Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.

Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

The piece

Plate I
Plate II

A media console shaped with an organic hand.

Our designers drew this console low so the wall stays open, then handed it to the bench: solid teak in the top, sides, and shelf — no veneer over particleboard anywhere — grain-matched across the front and shaped by hand. The boards spend twenty days in a temperature-controlled kiln first, and the hand-rubbed oil wants renewing once or twice a year — the tradeoff that lets it spot-repair at home for decades.

Most media walls end up a black tangle — router, game console, power strip, one cable always drooping into view. This console puts the tangle away: gear on the ventilated shelf, cords through the rear openings, remotes off the cushions. The screen keeps its stage, and the owner gets the quieter prize — a living room that still reads calm at eleven at night.

  • A large flat screen and soundbar fit with length to spare
  • Streaming boxes stay cool on the ventilated shelf, remotes within reach
  • The low floating profile keeps a smaller living room feeling open
  • Drink rings and popcorn nights wipe off the oiled teak

It fits real homes.

Friday movie night

Friday movie night

Lights down at eight, the router and power strip invisible behind teak, remotes back in their spot. The only glow on the wall is the film itself — and the black-plastic rack this console replaced is already nobody's memory.

Saturday cartoons

Saturday cartoons

7:15 on a Saturday, volume low, two kids cross-legged on the rug. Cereal bowls ride the oiled top where they always land, and the milk ring wipes away Monday morning like it never happened.

The quiet reset

The quiet reset

Sunday, nine at night. Cables tucked, shelf squared, one lamp catching the low sheen of oil down the console's full length. Five minutes of straightening, and the busiest wall in the house goes quiet before the week starts.

Made to order

Every piece is made to order, and dimensions vary from one to the next. Need a different size for your space? Tell us your measurements and we'll build it to fit.

Teak, up close.

Grain that reads quiet

Tight, straight grain runs the console's full length, and under a raking evening lamp the figure shows a soft, even sheen — calm to the eye the way the oiled top is smooth under a flat palm.

Grain that reads quiet

The finish nature applied

Teak carries its own oils; we hand-rub more in, thin coat by thin coat. Open the crate and the room smells like a woodshop — faintly sweet, a little leathery — with no lacquer film and nothing to off-gas beside the sofa.

The finish nature applied

Density you can feel

At roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, teak moves about half as much as oak when forced-air heat drops the room toward twenty percent humidity. Keep the console a couple of feet from a vent and the long top holds flat through January.

Density you can feel

Golden now, silver whenever

Indoors this teak will not go silver — that takes outdoor sun and rain. It deepens toward honey-amber instead, a shade warmer by the TV's second season, and if a sun-facing edge ever lightens, fine sandpaper and fresh oil reset it in an afternoon.

Golden now, silver whenever

From plank to piece.

The wood selection

The wood selection

Wood selectors with thirty years at the lumber stacks pull boards and chalk-match tone and grain across the console front; stock with twist, checks, or dull figure goes back on the pile.

The shaping process

The shaping process

The console's contours are traced from workshop templates, then bandsawn a pencil's width proud of the line — spare material saved for the handwork that fairs each curve.

The hand refinement

The hand refinement

Top, edges, and shelf faces are sanded by hand through five successively finer grits, the last pass with the grain only, until every rounded corner reads smooth against an open palm.

The final inspection

The final inspection

Oil goes on in thin coats, buffed between each. The maker checks the shelf with a straightedge under a raking lamp, runs a hand over every face, and signs the console out.

One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

The Timber Vintique workshop

No two boards alike

The grain that arrives is yours alone.

  1. Every board is cut from a different tree — the photos here are a reference, not a promise.
  2. Your piece is photographed in the workshop before it ships, so you see your exact grain.
  3. Small knots and mineral streaks come with real wood. We leave them in.

Delivery, done properly.

White-glove option

Choose white-glove and the crew brings the piece inside, places it in the room, and removes every bit of packaging.

Crated for freight

Each piece travels in its own wooden crate with corner protection, built to cross the country without a scuff.

Scheduled window

You get a delivery appointment and tracking — not a truck that shows up unannounced.

Honest returns

30 days from payment. If it isn't right — unused, in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup. Made-to-order terms are stated up front.

Questions customers usually ask

Are these built for real media equipment?
TV cabinets in this collection are solid wood with ventilated compartments and cable openings placed where equipment actually sits — no particleboard shelf sagging under a receiver in year three, because there is no particleboard in the build.
Can I size it to my wall and components?
Cabinets are made to order, so length can run wall to wall and compartments size to your components. Tell us the TV size and what lives beneath it, and we confirm dimensions before the build starts.
What setup is required?
Cabinets arrive assembled with doors hung and shelves set — a finished console off the truck, not a kit. Feed cables through the pre-cut rear openings; an anti-tip strap is included and recommended with a mounted or perched TV.
How do I care for it?
Dust the vents and cable openings when you dust the top. Rings from movie-night glasses wipe off oiled teak; a stubborn white ring lifts with a cloth and a warm dry iron in under a minute. Re-oil once or twice a year, when the surface looks thirsty — twenty minutes, done.
How does a TV cabinet arrive?
Every cabinet is made to order and freight-crated, interior braced and doors locked for transit. Delivery is scheduled with you in advance; photograph the crate before the driver leaves and note anything on the receipt — if it arrives damaged, we make it right.
Will the floating look suit my TV size?
Yes — the proportions of this design were drawn around large flat screens, and every console is made to order. Tell us your TV's width when you order and we confirm the top length and overhang before the build starts, so the piece reads balanced rather than swallowed.
