Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.
These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.
Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.
Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.
Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

The piece
The slab decides the desk. An artisan picks the teak for its bark line and figure, flattens the top dead level, and leaves the live edge exactly as the tree grew it — sanded soft to the touch. The slab is kiln-dried twenty days before flattening, so it stays put over the seasons, and clean steel legs carry it without saying much.
A desk is a surface you touch every working day for years — the argument for buying solid wood once instead of a laminate top twice. This one turns the least glamorous hours into time spent at something that used to be a tree — grain warm under your wrists, the bark line inches from the keyboard. Colleagues on a video call ask about the edge behind you before the meeting starts.
Saturday, before anyone else is up: the mug goes down beside the live edge, the laptop stays shut a while, and the desk is just a good table by a window — the bark line catching the first low light while the coffee cools.
Deadline night, one lamp on, the grain running warm under scattered notes. Somehow the last hour of work goes easier at a surface that was a standing tree a year ago — elbows on wood that gives nothing back but warmth.
Tax weekend, an art project, or a thousand-piece puzzle with the kids — the slab takes the whole sprawl without a coaster panic. Everything slides to one side afterward, a damp cloth follows, and the workspace comes back in a minute.

Tight, straight, even grain runs the length of the slab to the bark line — the calm figure that made teak the wood collectors ask for by name, warm under a wrist that rests there eight hours a day.
Teak carries its own natural oils. We hand-rub more into the top and along the live edge, deepening the golden tone to a warm satin that a coffee ring wipes off instead of ghosting the way lacquered maple does.
At roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, with some of the lowest shrinkage of any hardwood, the slab stays flat over its steel legs through the dry-winter, humid-summer swing that cups thinner tops.
Indoors the gold deepens year by year. If the writing zone ever dulls before the rest from daily contact, a light sanding and fresh oil level the tone again in twenty minutes.
Slabs are chosen one at a time for a live edge worth keeping and grain that runs the full length, then set aside for the twenty-day kiln before any flattening. Dull stock never makes the cut.
The top is flattened dead level while the natural edge is left as the tree grew it, cleaned and kept slightly proud for handwork.
The surface and every contour of the live edge are sanded through successive grits until bark line and tabletop both feel finished.
Oil goes on in thin coats, buffed between each. The maker mounts the steel legs, checks level and flatness, and signs the desk out.
One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.
