Natural wood, one piece at a time

Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.

General care

These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Dimensions & assembly

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.

Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.

Shipping & returns

Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.

Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

Solid teak · Floating TV shelf

The mantel your media wall was missing

The piece

Plate I
Plate II

The wall-mounted line that clears the floor.

A single sculpted shelf, wall-hung with nothing beneath it. The front profile flows so the piece reads as one carved line under the screen. The boards are chosen for continuous grain across the face, dried through a twenty-day kiln cycle so a wall-hung span stays dead flat, then shaped and oiled by hand.

A floor-standing media unit gives a small room away to furniture. This one hangs the equipment, drops the cables out of sight behind it, and returns the rug to the people. In December it carries garland and candlelight like the mantel the room never had; the other eleven months it simply looks built with the house.

  • Soundbar, console, and streaming boxes — all carried off the floor
  • Cables drop behind the shelf; the wall below stays bare
  • Vacuum or robot passes underneath without a detour
  • The front edge stages garland in December, stays quiet in July
  • Small living rooms read larger with the floor left open

It fits real homes.

Christmas Eve glow

Christmas Eve glow

Overheads off, tree lit. Garland along the front edge, two candles, the lights doubling in the oiled grain — for one night the media wall is the warmest surface in the house.

Saturday cartoon fort

Saturday cartoon fort

7:15 on a Saturday morning, blankets and kids spread across the rug under the screen. With no cabinet legs to bump into, the entire floor belongs to the fort.

Six hundred square feet

Six hundred square feet

In a studio apartment, floor space is the whole budget. Hanging the media shelf gains back the square footage a cabinet would spend — and the room reads bigger the day it goes up.

Teak, up close.

Grain that reads quiet

One board's grain runs straight and unbroken across the shelf face — and at eye level from the sofa, where a media wall gets stared at nightly, that calm figure earns its keep.

Grain that reads quiet

The finish nature applied

The oils are already in the wood; we hand-rub more into the sculpted front, deepening the golden tone to a warm satin that answers candlelight in December and lamplight all year.

The finish nature applied

Density you can feel

A wall-hung span has no patience for creep. Teak moves about half as much as oak and runs near 700 kilograms per cubic meter, so the shelf hangs flat through furnace winters and humid summers.

Density you can feel

Golden now, silver whenever

Indoors the golden tone holds for decades — silvering needs outdoor sun and rain. If a nearby window ever shifts it, a light sanding and fresh oil bring the shelf back in an afternoon.

Golden now, silver whenever

From plank to piece.

The wood selection

The wood selection

Boards are pulled one at a time for continuous grain across the shelf face, then sighted down their length — a wall-hung span has no tolerance for twist.

The shaping process

The shaping process

The flowing front profile is traced from templates, then bandsawn slightly proud of the line — leaving material for the handwork that finishes each curve.

The hand refinement

The hand refinement

Face, edges, and underside pass through five grits by hand — the underside matters too, on a shelf seen from the sofa below.

The final inspection

The final inspection

Oil goes on in thin coats, buffed between each. The maker hangs the shelf on a test wall, checks flatness and mounting fit, and signs it out of the workshop.

One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

The Timber Vintique workshop

No two boards alike

The grain that arrives is yours alone.

  1. Every board is cut from a different tree — the photos here are a reference, not a promise.
  2. Your piece is photographed in the workshop before it ships, so you see your exact grain.
  3. Small knots and mineral streaks come with real wood. We leave them in.

Delivery, done properly.

White-glove option

Choose white-glove and the crew brings the piece inside, places it in the room, and removes every bit of packaging.

Crated for freight

Each piece travels in its own wooden crate with corner protection, built to cross the country without a scuff.

Scheduled window

You get a delivery appointment and tracking — not a truck that shows up unannounced.

Honest returns

30 days from payment. If it isn't right — unused, in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup. Made-to-order terms are stated up front.

Questions customers usually ask

Are these built for real media equipment?
Solid wood with ventilated compartments and cable openings placed where equipment actually sits — no particleboard anywhere in the build, so nothing sags under a receiver in year three, and the surface re-oils at home for decades.
Can I size it to my wall and components?
Made to order, so length can run wall to wall and the shelf can size to your components. Tell us the TV size and what lives beneath it, and you see photos of your piece before it ships.
What setup is required?
This design hangs on the wall rather than standing on the floor, and the honest requirement is studs: anchor the included mounting hardware into them, feed cables behind the shelf, and the teak carries a soundbar, console, and a season's worth of decor.
How do I care for it?
Dust the top and the cable gap behind it when you pass with a cloth. An oil finish asks for a fresh coat once or twice a year — ten minutes — and repays you with a surface that spot-sands instead of chipping like lacquer.
How does a TV cabinet arrive?
Made to order and crated for transit with the mounting hardware bagged inside. Tracking is provided and delivery is scheduled with you — photograph the packaging before signing if the box looks rough, and anything wrong gets made right.
