The form of this coffee table is shaped by natural grain, then its visible wood surfaces are refined and finished by hand.

Natural wood, one piece at a time

Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.

General care

These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Dimensions & assembly

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.

Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.

Shipping & returns

Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.

Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

Solid teak · Coffee table

A round top on one continuous loop

The piece

Plate I
Plate II

The table your living room orbits.

The designers drew the looping base dozens of times before the curve carried real weight and still read light from the sofa. An artisan then shapes the round top from full-thickness solid teak — a surface you can sand and re-oil at home for decades, which no veneer top survives — and carves the loop to meet it.

A coffee table lives closer to daily life than anything else in the room — the sweating glass, the propped heels, the Lego session gone long. Oiled teak is built for that contact: rings wipe away, deeper marks spot-sand and re-oil in ten minutes, and the loop never racks loose the way bolted legs do by year three. Buy once and the replace-it-again math stops; it is the one table nobody has to police.

  • Round top puts the dip within reach of every seat
  • Open loop base keeps sight lines — and the robot vacuum — moving
  • No hard corners at toddler height
  • Rings wipe off; scratches sand out at home in minutes
  • Anchors the seating area without blocking the walk-through

It fits real homes.

Fourth-quarter table

Fourth-quarter table

Super Bowl Sunday, fourth quarter. Seven-layer dip at center like a trophy, a sweating bottle making a ring on the corner nobody is watching, feet up at the two-minute warning. Monday it all wipes away with the crumbs.

The no-corner lap

The no-corner lap

A fourteen-month-old steadies herself against the smooth curved edge and completes another lap of the living room. No hard corners at forehead height — just warm, rounded teak the whole way around, oiled soft enough that a fall leaves a bruise on nothing.

Ten-minute repair

Ten-minute repair

Saturday morning after a Lego-heavy week. Fine sandpaper, a rag of oil, ten minutes — Tuesday's gouge is gone and the top reads like nothing happened. The room smells faintly of teak until lunch.

Made to order

Every piece is made to order, and dimensions vary from one to the next. Need a different size for your space? Tell us your measurements and we'll build it to fit.

Teak, up close.

Grain that reads quiet

Tight, straight grain sweeps the round top in one quiet field — under the evening lamp it reads calm, and a palm run across it finds the low warmth of oil, not the cool slick of lacquer.

Grain that reads quiet

The finish nature applied

Teak carries its own natural oils. We hand-rub more into the top and along the looping base — a satin surface that sheds the sweating glass and smells faintly of wood the day the crate opens.

The finish nature applied

Density you can feel

At roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, with a twenty-day kiln cycle behind every board, the top stays flat through winter, when forced-air heat drops indoor humidity into the twenties.

Density you can feel

Golden now, silver whenever

The top will not silver indoors — that takes outdoor sun and rain. It deepens toward honey-amber through the first year, and a light sanding with fresh oil returns it to day-one gold whenever you like.

Golden now, silver whenever

From plank to piece.

The wood selection

The wood selection

Boards are pulled one at a time and grain-matched across the round top before the first cut. Twisted or dull stock never becomes a table.

The shaping process

The shaping process

The circle and the looping base are traced from templates, then bandsawn slightly proud of the line — a pencil's width left for the handwork ahead.

The hand refinement

The hand refinement

The rim and every turn of the base are sanded through five grits, coarse to fine, until the curve feels continuous under an open palm.

The final inspection

The final inspection

Oil goes on in thin coats, buffed between each with a cotton pad. The maker levels the top and checks the base's stance before sign-out.

One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

The Timber Vintique workshop

No two boards alike

The grain that arrives is yours alone.

  1. Every board is cut from a different tree — the photos here are a reference, not a promise.
  2. Your piece is photographed in the workshop before it ships, so you see your exact grain.
  3. Small knots and mineral streaks come with real wood. We leave them in.

Delivery, done properly.

White-glove option

Choose white-glove and the crew brings the piece inside, places it in the room, and removes every bit of packaging.

Crated for freight

Each piece travels in its own wooden crate with corner protection, built to cross the country without a scuff.

Scheduled window

You get a delivery appointment and tracking — not a truck that shows up unannounced.

Honest returns

30 days from payment. If it isn't right — unused, in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup. Made-to-order terms are stated up front.

Questions customers usually ask

Is the tabletop really solid wood?
Solid through the full thickness of the top — this one in teak, whose natural oils shed the sweating glass and the Friday-night spill. There is no veneer to sand through, so the surface can be renewed at home for decades, and it never sounds hollow under a knuckle.
Can I adjust the size or height?
Standard sizes fit most sofas, but each table is built after you order, so diameter, height, and shape can be adjusted. Two inches lower for a deep sofa is a common request — send your sofa's seat height and we will do the math with you.
How much assembly is required?
Most designs arrive fully assembled; a few ship with legs off to protect them in transit. Those bolt on in minutes with the included key — no wordless diagrams, no leftover screw, no lost Saturday.
How do I care for the top?
Wipe spills when you see them and re-oil once or twice a year, when the top looks thirsty. A white ring that does form lifts with a cloth and a warm, dry iron in under a minute — the oil finish spot-repairs; a film finish would need refinishing.
How are coffee tables delivered?
Coffee tables are made to order, wrapped, corner-blocked, and crated when size demands. You get tracking at dispatch and a heads-up before any freight delivery is scheduled — photograph the packaging before the driver leaves, and if anything is wrong we make it right.
Does the looping base arrive attached to the round top?
On most builds the sculpted base ships joined to the top; the largest sizes travel in two parts that align on pre-fitted bolts. Either way it is a one-person, ten-minute setup with the included key.
