These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Dimensions & assembly
Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.
Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.
Shipping & returns
Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.
Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

Grain that reads quiet
Tight, straight grain runs the length of the fluid seat, darkening to amber under the shower stream and drying back to gold — the calm, consistent figure that made teak the wood collectors ask for by name.
The finish nature applied
Teak carries its own natural oils — its original waterproofing. We hand-rub more into the seat and shelf, so the wood stays warm and grippy under wet feet where tile and metal go cold and slick.
Density you can feel
At roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, with some of the lowest shrinkage of any hardwood, the seat holds true through daily steam-and-dry cycles that would swell and rack a lesser bench in a season.
Golden now, silver whenever
In a daily-shower bathroom the seat may drift toward silver-grey — a paper-thin surface change only. A squeegee habit and a running fan slow it; a light sanding and fresh oil bring back the gold anytime.
From plank to piece.
The wood selection
Boards are pulled for the dense, oil-rich stock a wet room demands, after twenty days of controlled kiln drying. Twist, checks, or dull figure never make the cut.
The shaping process
The fluid seat and open shelf are traced from templates, then cut slightly proud — leaving material for the handwork that fairs each curve.
The hand refinement
Every surface is sanded through five grits until the seat feels gentle against bare, wet skin — edges eased so nothing presses a line.
The final inspection
Oil goes on in thin coats, buffed between each. The maker sets the bench on a wet slab, checks the adjustable feet and level, and boxes it.
One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

Is teak really safe inside a running shower?
Solid teak through and through — the wood commercial steam rooms and spas specify for environments wetter than any home bath. Its natural oils and silica resist water and rot without sealer, and it never splinters wet the way cedar can.
Can the bench be sized to my shower stall?
Yes. Benches are built to order, so width and height match your stall or wet room. Send the alcove measurements and we will size the bench with proper clearance.
Does it need installation?
Shower benches arrive assembled with stainless, rust-proof hardware and adjustable feet for sloped shower floors. Rated well beyond everyday seated weight, they need no wall attachment.
What care does teak need in a wet room?
Rinse soap residue weekly and let the bench dry between showers — black spots on bath teak are mildew feeding on soap scum sitting on the wood, not the wood failing. A squeegee habit and the fan mean years of zero mold; re-oil if you want the gold, or let it silver.
How does it ship?
Each bench is made to order and shipped in a compact padded box with feet fitted and hardware installed. Tracking arrives at dispatch — if the box shows a hard trip, photograph it and we make any damage right.
What is the lower shelf for?
Rolled towels, soaps, and bath oils in the shower; magazines and a candle if the bench lives beside the tub. The open design lets everything on it drain and dry between uses.
