Natural wood, one piece at a time

Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.

General care

These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Dimensions & assembly

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.

Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.

Shipping & returns

Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.

Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

Solid teak · Sideboard

One long answer to living-room clutter

The piece

Plate I
Plate II

The long, calm anchor of the room.

The designers kept what mattered — an elongated case, unbroken front panels, a slightly raised base — and the workshop made it honest: solid teak in the top, panels, and shelves, kiln-dried twenty days so the doors keep their even gap when the seasons swing. Boards are matched at the bench so the wave-like grain flows across the whole front as one surface.

Every living room generates the same sediment — chargers, mail, board games, the good candles. This case swallows it behind two clean panels and hands back a long, clear top for the few things worth seeing. The room reads calm because somewhere, quietly, the sideboard is doing the sorting — and the owner knows exactly where everything went.

  • The top runs long enough for a full buffet line
  • Games, chargers, and table linens vanish behind two clean panels
  • Arrives assembled — doors hung, levelers square it on uneven floors
  • Grain-matched solid teak front, no veneer to chip at the corners

It fits real homes.

Thanksgiving buffet

Thanksgiving buffet

The Wednesday pies land first, then Thursday's serving dishes line the full length of the top, trivets under the hot ones. Three helpings happen standing up before anyone finds a chair, and the teak takes the traffic without a flinch.

The five-minute tidy

The five-minute tidy

Doorbell in five. Board games, chargers, and the week's mail vanish behind the front panels, a cloth passes once over the oiled top, and the room swears it was always this composed.

December 26th

The sideboard has been the bar since the 12th — punch bowl, good bottles, condensation rings wiping off the oiled teak each morning. Today the host looks down the clear top and finally exhales.

Teak, up close.

Grain that reads quiet

Tight, straight grain with wave-like movement flows across the front panels, and because the boards were matched at the bench, the figure carries over each panel gap without a visual seam — one drawing across the whole face.

Grain that reads quiet

The finish nature applied

Teak carries its own natural oils; we hand-rub more into the top and panel faces. The result is a warm satin that sheds sweating glasses and wine drips — a wipe, not a refinish — and the crate opens on the smell of wood, not fumes.

The finish nature applied

Density you can feel

At roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, with about half the seasonal movement of oak, the long top and panels stay flat and the doors keep their even reveal from furnace season through August humidity — the swing that racks lesser casework.

Density you can feel

Golden now, silver whenever

Indoors the case will not silver — that takes outdoor sun and rain. It deepens toward honey-amber instead; keep it a couple of feet from heat vents and the color shift stays slow and even down the full length.

Golden now, silver whenever

From plank to piece.

The wood selection

The wood selection

Selectors with thirty years at the lumber stacks pull boards and lay them out dry, shuffling until the grain flows unbroken across the front panels; twisted or dull stock never makes the cut.

The shaping process

The shaping process

Case, panels, and base are traced from templates, then cut slightly proud of the line — spare material left for the fitting that makes each panel gap read even.

The hand refinement

The hand refinement

Top, edges, and panel faces are sanded by hand through five successively finer grits until each softened edge feels right against an open palm.

The final inspection

The final inspection

Oil goes on in thin coats, buffed between each. The maker swings every door a dozen times, checks the reveals and the level, and signs the sideboard out of the workshop.

One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

The Timber Vintique workshop

No two boards alike

The grain that arrives is yours alone.

  1. Every board is cut from a different tree — the photos here are a reference, not a promise.
  2. Your piece is photographed in the workshop before it ships, so you see your exact grain.
  3. Small knots and mineral streaks come with real wood. We leave them in.

Delivery, done properly.

White-glove option

Choose white-glove and the crew brings the piece inside, places it in the room, and removes every bit of packaging.

Crated for freight

Each piece travels in its own wooden crate with corner protection, built to cross the country without a scuff.

Scheduled window

You get a delivery appointment and tracking — not a truck that shows up unannounced.

Honest returns

30 days from payment. If it isn't right — unused, in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup. Made-to-order terms are stated up front.

Questions customers usually ask

How is a sideboard built here?
Sideboards in this collection are full solid-wood casework — tops, doors, and shelves — with doors fitted by hand at the workshop so they close with a soft, even gap. There is no MDF or particleboard core anywhere, which is why the doors still fit in year ten.
Can the interior be laid out for my use?
Each sideboard is made to order: length, interior layout, and leg height all adjust. Wine storage, plate racks, and cable openings for a media wall are common additions — tell us what it will hold before the build starts.
What happens at delivery?
Sideboards arrive fully assembled — doors hung, shelves in. Plan on two people to carry it; the weight is the solid teak talking. Once placed, the adjustable levelers square the doors on an uneven floor in minutes. Photograph the crate before the driver leaves and note anything on the receipt.
How do I care for the top and doors?
Wipe the top after serving and use trivets under hot dishes. A white ring from a sweating glass lifts with a cloth and a warm dry iron in under a minute. Oil once or twice a year, when the surface looks thirsty; hinges are adjustable if the seasons ever shift the reveal.
How does a sideboard travel?
Every sideboard is made to order and travels freight in a fitted crate with the interior braced and corners protected. We send tracking, schedule the delivery window with you, and if anything arrives damaged, we make it right — the crate photos make that fast.
What fits behind the front panels?
The concealed compartments are sized for real living-room storage — table linens, board games, chargers, and bar bottles fit standing or stacked. Tell us what you plan to keep inside and we can adjust the interior before the build.
