Natural wood, one piece at a time

Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.

General care

These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Dimensions & assembly

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.

Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.

Shipping & returns

Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.

Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

Handcrafted solid wood · Coffee table

The coffee table at the center of everything

The piece

Knock on it. Nothing hollow answers.

The coffee table is where the category cheats hardest — a photograph of grain wrapped around a foam-light core, sold under a species name that is really a stain color. Ours is the opposite of that trick: solid wood through the top, the legs, the stretchers. Knock anywhere and it answers like a tree.

It takes two people to carry into the living room, and that weight is the spec worth reading. Chip-proof is not the claim — repairable is. This top can be sanded and re-oiled at home for decades, the one test a veneer never survives.

  • Coffee and the remotes within reach of every seat
  • Board-game arena that seats the whole family
  • Eased edges soften shin bumps and toddler passes
  • Oiled top wipes clean after rings and game-day crumbs
  • Solid through — knocks like a tree, never hollow

It fits real homes.

First mug down

Saturday, seven-fifteen, the house still asleep. The first mug of coffee lands on the wood with a soft knock — the quietest, best minute of the whole week.

Fourth quarter

Super Bowl Sunday. The seven-layer dip sits center table like a trophy, a sweating bottle rings the corner nobody is watching, feet up at the two-minute warning. Monday it all wipes away with the crumbs.

The cruising toddler

A fourteen-month-old works her way around the table hand over hand, the eased edges doing their quiet work. It is the first piece of furniture she ever trusted.

Made to order

Every piece is made to order, and dimensions vary from one to the next. Need a different size for your space? Tell us your measurements and we'll build it to fit.

Teak, up close.

The grain

Honey and amber bands run the length of each plank. No two boards repeat, so your piece is the only one with this pattern.

The oils

Teak grows its own protective oils, and they carry the wood through dry winters and humid summers that crack lesser boards. Spills just need wiping up promptly.

The weight

Lift a corner and you feel dense, solid stock with no hollow frames or fillers. Kiln-dried before the build, it sits flat and stays put, even when the heat comes on.

The years ahead

Teak deepens toward a richer brown as it lives with you. A wipe of teak oil twice a year holds the tone you chose.

From plank to piece.

Select

Planks graded by practiced eyes, then kiln-dried slowly until they settle.

Mill

Each board cut, squared, and matched to the pattern.

Shape

Joined and eased with hand tools after the machines have done the rough work.

Finish

Sanded fine, then oiled until the grain reads deep.

One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

The Timber Vintique workshop

No two boards alike

The grain that arrives is yours alone.

  1. Every board is cut from a different tree — the photos here are a reference, not a promise.
  2. Your piece is photographed in the workshop before it ships, so you see your exact grain.
  3. Small knots and mineral streaks come with real wood. We leave them in.

Delivery, done properly.

White-glove option

Choose white-glove and the crew brings the piece inside, places it in the room, and removes every bit of packaging.

Crated for freight

Each piece travels in its own wooden crate with corner protection, built to cross the country without a scuff.

Scheduled window

You get a delivery appointment and tracking — not a truck that shows up unannounced.

Honest returns

30 days from payment. If it isn't right — unused, in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup. Made-to-order terms are stated up front.

Questions customers usually ask

Is the tabletop really solid wood?
The coffee tables in this collection are solid wood through the full thickness of the top — many in teak, whose natural oils shrug off the sweating glass and Friday-night spills a coffee table lives with.
Can I adjust the size or height?
Standard sizes fit most sofas, but each table is built after you order, so length, height, and shape can be adjusted. Two inches lower for a deep sofa is a common request.
How much assembly is required?
Most designs arrive fully assembled; a few ship with legs off to protect them in transit. Those bolt on in minutes with the included key — no separate tools needed.
How do I care for the top?
Coasters help but are not a rule; wipe spills when you see them and dry the surface. A thin coat of oil once or twice a year keeps the top rich.
How are coffee tables delivered?
Coffee tables are made to order, wrapped, corner-blocked, and crated when size demands. You get tracking at dispatch and a heads-up before any freight delivery is scheduled.
What size coffee table fits my sofa?
About two-thirds the sofa's length keeps the proportions right, with 14 to 18 inches between sofa and table — close enough to reach a mug, open enough to walk through. Check height too: within an inch or two of the sofa cushion is the comfortable zone. Each listing carries exact dimensions and the piece's real weight in pounds.
Will sweating glasses and hot mugs wreck the finish?
An oil finish handles them better than the glossy film you may have been burned by. Rings wipe off when you catch them; a white mark that does set can be drawn out with a dry cloth and a warm iron in under a minute, and worst case the spot sands and re-oils at home. A film finish fails all at once — oil fails gracefully, which is why we use it.
