Natural wood, one piece at a time

Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.

General care

These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Dimensions & assembly

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.

Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.

Shipping & returns

Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.

Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

Handcrafted solid wood

Built for the room where life happens.

The piece

Solid wood, shaped by hand, made for every day.

Run your hand along the top and you can feel the work: a plank pulled from the stack by experienced selectors, kiln-dried until the moisture settles, then planed and finished by one maker in our workshop. It's solid wood all the way through, without a sheet of veneer or particleboard anywhere in it.

It earns its place fast. Homework spreads across it on Tuesday, friends set their glasses down on Saturday night, and years from now the small marks read like a record of the house.

  • Solid wood throughout — no veneer, no particleboard
  • Arrives fully finished — no sanding, no staining
  • Dense grain stands up to daily family use
  • Wipes clean with a soft, dry cloth
  • Scratches sand out; a fresh coat of oil brings the color back
  • Built to be repaired, not replaced

It fits real homes.

Morning coffee

Low sun through the window, a warm mug on warm wood. The grain catches the first light before the rest of the house wakes up.

Family dinners

Elbows on the table, second helpings, homework pushed to one side at six o'clock. Built for the nights nobody photographs.

Company over

Someone always asks where it came from. You get to say a workshop built it from solid wood, one plank at a time.

Made to order

Every piece is made to order, and dimensions vary from one to the next. Need a different size for your space? Tell us your measurements and we'll build it to fit.

Teak, up close.

The grain

Honey and amber bands run the length of each plank. No two boards repeat, so your piece is the only one with this pattern.

The oils

Teak grows its own protective oils, and they carry the wood through dry winters and humid summers that crack lesser boards. Spills just need wiping up promptly.

The weight

Lift a corner and you feel dense, solid stock with no hollow frames or fillers. Kiln-dried before the build, it sits flat and stays put, even when the heat comes on.

The years ahead

Teak deepens toward a richer brown as it lives with you. A wipe of teak oil twice a year holds the tone you chose.

From plank to piece.

Select

Planks graded by practiced eyes, then kiln-dried slowly until they settle.

Mill

Each board cut, squared, and matched to the pattern.

Shape

Joined and eased with hand tools after the machines have done the rough work.

Finish

Sanded fine, then oiled until the grain reads deep.

One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

The Timber Vintique workshop

No two boards alike

The grain that arrives is yours alone.

  1. Every board is cut from a different tree — the photos here are a reference, not a promise.
  2. Your piece is photographed in the workshop before it ships, so you see your exact grain.
  3. Small knots and mineral streaks come with real wood. We leave them in.

Delivery, done properly.

White-glove option

Choose white-glove and the crew brings the piece inside, places it in the room, and removes every bit of packaging.

Crated for freight

Each piece travels in its own wooden crate with corner protection, built to cross the country without a scuff.

Scheduled window

You get a delivery appointment and tracking — not a truck that shows up unannounced.

Honest returns

30 days from payment. If it isn't right — unused, in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup. Made-to-order terms are stated up front.

Questions customers usually ask

Will the color match the photos exactly?
Close, but not exactly — natural wood shows color a little differently on every screen. Before you commit, order a free finish sample and we'll mail a real piece of finished wood to your door.
Does it need assembly?
Most pieces arrive in one piece, ready to place. Larger tables ship with the legs detached to protect the joinery; they bolt on with the included hex key in about 15 minutes with two people.
How do I care for solid wood?
A soft, dry cloth handles weekly dusting, and a coat of furniture oil once or twice a year keeps the color deep. Every board is heat-treated in the kiln before the build, with no chemical treatments involved. Keep it away from radiators and standing water.
Can you build a custom size?
Yes. Send us your measurements and we'll quote a custom build in the same wood and finish, usually within two business days. Custom pieces add about two weeks to the build time.
How long until it arrives?
Each piece is made to order: about 3–4 weeks on the bench, then 1–2 weeks in freight transit within the continental US. You'll get a delivery appointment before the truck rolls.
How do returns work for a piece this size?
You have 30 days from payment. If it isn't right, contact us and we arrange the freight pickup — you don't box anything yourself; pieces need to be unused and in original condition. Damaged or defective pieces are repaired, replaced or refunded at no cost.
