Natural wood, one piece at a time

Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.

General care

These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Dimensions & assembly

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.

Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.

Shipping & returns

Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.

Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

Solid teak · Bathroom vanity

A live-edge counter two can share

The piece

Plate I
Plate II

A live-edge vanity for the room mornings begin in.

Our designers set the proportions first — forty inches of counter, thirty tall, eighteen deep — a surface two people can share without elbowing. An artisan chose the slab, kept its live edge intact, shaped the mid-century base by hand, and sealed every face in waterproof and PU finishes built for daily steam. Solid teak throughout, no laminate skin to bubble.

Bathrooms are where cheap furniture fails first — a shower spikes the humidity, the AC dries it back down, and veneer over particleboard swells and lifts. Teak's own oils and low absorption were proven on ship decks, so this counter shrugs off the muggiest August morning. Less fixture, more furniture, and the piece you are quietly proud to wash up at.

  • Need room for two morning routines? Forty inches of counter, no elbowing
  • Open shelf keeps folded towels within one reach of the sink
  • Waterproof and PU finishes stand up to daily shower steam
  • Live-edge counter reads as furniture, not a builder-grade fixture
  • Eighteen-inch depth drops into standard US bathroom layouts

It fits real homes.

Seven a.m., shared

Seven a.m., shared

Seven a.m. on a school day. Two toothbrushes, one forty-inch counter, no elbowing — the vanity was drawn wide enough for a household, not a hotel room. His-and-hers routines run side by side and still clear out by 7:20.

The powder-room pause

The powder-room pause

Dinner guests step away to wash their hands and take a beat longer than they need, following the live edge with a fingertip before turning the tap. Warm wood where they expected cold porcelain.

Winding down

Winding down

9:30 p.m., the last light on in the house is the one over this counter. Warm water, warm wood underhand, steam softening the room — a bathroom that ends the day as calmly as a hotel spa, minus the checkout.

Teak, up close.

Grain that reads quiet

Tight, straight, even grain runs the full length of the counter — the calm figure that made teak the wood collectors ask for by name. Run a wet hand down it and it stays warm, never the cold of tile or stone.

Grain that reads quiet

The finish nature applied

Teak's own oils sit under waterproof and PU coats here — a low sheen built for splash and steam, with no lacquer smell to greet you at 6 a.m. Water beads and wipes rather than soaking in.

The finish nature applied

Density you can feel

At roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, with some of the lowest shrinkage of any hardwood, the counter holds flat when the shower spikes the room to 70% humidity and the AC dries it back down.

Density you can feel

Golden now, silver whenever

Sealed and indoors, the counter keeps its honey tone; teak only silvers under outdoor sun and rain, never in a bathroom. If the surface ever dulls, a light refresh brings the warmth straight back.

Golden now, silver whenever

From plank to piece.

The wood selection

The wood selection

The counter slab is chosen by a selector with decades at the lumber stacks, for figure and a live edge worth keeping. Stock with twist, checks, or dull grain never qualifies.

The shaping process

The shaping process

The base is traced from templates and bandsawn a hair proud of the line, leaving material for the handwork that sets each curve.

The hand refinement

The hand refinement

Counter and edges are sanded through five successive grits until the live edge feels right against an open palm, not merely looks right.

The final inspection

The final inspection

Waterproof and PU coats go on and cure. The maker checks level and seal, then confirms the shelf sits true before the vanity leaves.

One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

The Timber Vintique workshop

No two boards alike

The grain that arrives is yours alone.

  1. Every board is cut from a different tree — the photos here are a reference, not a promise.
  2. Your piece is photographed in the workshop before it ships, so you see your exact grain.
  3. Small knots and mineral streaks come with real wood. We leave them in.

Delivery, done properly.

White-glove option

Choose white-glove and the crew brings the piece inside, places it in the room, and removes every bit of packaging.

Crated for freight

Each piece travels in its own wooden crate with corner protection, built to cross the country without a scuff.

Scheduled window

You get a delivery appointment and tracking — not a truck that shows up unannounced.

Honest returns

30 days from payment. If it isn't right — unused, in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup. Made-to-order terms are stated up front.

Questions customers usually ask

Is the wood construction real?
Yes — solid teak throughout, with a live-edge counter; no veneer, no particleboard core to swell in a humid room. It is sealed against bath steam and finished by hand, and the top can be sanded and re-sealed for decades.
How does sizing work?
This build measures 40 wide, 18 deep, and 30 tall. Because every vanity is made to order, send your width, depth, and sink choice and we build to it — and we share photos of your actual slab before finishing.
Does the price include a sink or faucet?
No — the price always covers the vanity with one wooden shelf only; sink and faucet are not included. The surfaces come treated with waterproof and PU paint, ready for the fixtures you choose.
How do I maintain the finish?
Wipe standing water off after use and run the fan — black spots on bath teak are mildew feeding on soap film, not the wood rotting. A squeegee habit means years of none. Refresh the sealer yearly if the room sees daily showers.
How does a vanity this size ship safely?
Each vanity is made to order and freight-crated, with counter, base, and hardware secured separately inside. Photograph the crate before the driver leaves and note any damage on the receipt; tracking and a scheduled delivery appointment come standard.
