Natural wood, one piece at a time

Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.

General care

These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Dimensions & assembly

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.

Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.

Shipping & returns

Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.

Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

Built for feet up and mugs down

The piece

Plate I
Plate II

The low table every evening ends up around.

Our designers kept the profile low and the lines clean — mid-century proportions worked out against real sofas, real sight lines, real shins. An artisan selects the teak boards, matches their grain across the top, shapes the frame, and sands every edge soft to the hand. Solid through the full thickness, no veneer to chip where a heel lands.

A coffee table lives closer to daily life than any piece in the room, which is why the flat-pack version ends up at the curb in three years, wobbling and swollen at the corners. This one takes the sweating glass, the Lego week, the propped-up feet — and a deep scratch spot-sands out in ten minutes. Built for contact, not replacement.

  • Low profile keeps your sight line to the TV clear
  • Broad top takes trays, board games, and propped-up feet
  • Oiled teak handles mugs without a coaster rulebook
  • Clean mid-century lines settle into farmhouse or modern rooms
  • Solid teak the full thickness, so a gouge sands right out

It fits real homes.

Game night

Game night

Super Bowl Sunday, fourth quarter. Seven-layer dip at center like a trophy, a sweating bottle ringing a corner nobody is watching, feet up at the two-minute warning. Monday morning it all wipes away with the crumbs.

Sunday, unscheduled

Sunday, unscheduled

Sunday, 10 a.m., coffee and the crossword and a slow patch of sun crossing the grain. Some tables host parties; this one is better at doing nothing with you for an hour.

The dog's house

The dog's house

Weeknight living room, a sixty-pound dog with a confident tail. The tail sweeps the table twice an evening, paws land at every doorbell, and nobody yells — the teak was chosen for exactly this house.

Teak, up close.

Grain that reads quiet

Tight, straight, even grain runs board to board across the top — the calm figure that made teak the wood collectors ask for by name. Trace it under a lamp and the matched seams read as one continuous field.

Grain that reads quiet

The finish nature applied

Teak carries its own oils. We hand-rub more into the top for a warm satin that sheds a sweating glass — red wine left overnight wipes off in the morning rather than ghosting the surface.

The finish nature applied

Density you can feel

At roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, with some of the lowest shrinkage of any hardwood, the top holds flat when December forced-air heat drops the room to 20% humidity. Two people feel the weight carrying it in.

Density you can feel

Golden now, silver whenever

Left alone the top mellows toward a soft silver-grey — a skin-deep change only. A light sanding and fresh oil bring the gold back in an afternoon, so a heel mark or gouge is never permanent.

Golden now, silver whenever

From plank to piece.

The wood selection

The wood selection

Boards are pulled one at a time by a selector with decades at the lumber stacks, matched by tone and grain across the top. Twisted or dull stock never qualifies.

The shaping process

The shaping process

The low frame is traced from templates, then bandsawn a hair proud of the line, leaving material for the handwork on every curve.

The hand refinement

The hand refinement

Top and edges are sanded through five successive grits until corners feel right against an open palm, not merely look right.

The final inspection

The final inspection

Oil goes on in thin coats, buffed between each. The maker checks joints for a wobble-free stance and confirms level before the table ships.

One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

The Timber Vintique workshop

No two boards alike

The grain that arrives is yours alone.

  1. Every board is cut from a different tree — the photos here are a reference, not a promise.
  2. Your piece is photographed in the workshop before it ships, so you see your exact grain.
  3. Small knots and mineral streaks come with real wood. We leave them in.

Delivery, done properly.

White-glove option

Choose white-glove and the crew brings the piece inside, places it in the room, and removes every bit of packaging.

Crated for freight

Each piece travels in its own wooden crate with corner protection, built to cross the country without a scuff.

Scheduled window

You get a delivery appointment and tracking — not a truck that shows up unannounced.

Honest returns

30 days from payment. If it isn't right — unused, in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup. Made-to-order terms are stated up front.

Questions customers usually ask

Is the tabletop really solid wood?
Solid teak through the full thickness of the top — no veneer over particleboard, so a chipped corner shows more teak, not sawdust. Its natural oils shrug off the sweating glass and Friday-night spills a coffee table lives with.
Can I adjust the size or height?
Standard sizes fit most sofas, but each table is built after you order, so length, height, and shape can be adjusted. Two inches lower for a deep lounge sofa is a common request — send your seat height.
How much assembly is required?
Most designs arrive fully assembled; a few ship with legs off to protect them in transit. Those bolt on in minutes with the included key — no wordless diagram, no leftover screw.
How do I care for the top?
Coasters help but are not a rule; wipe spills when you see them. A white ring lifts with a cloth and a warm, dry iron in under a minute, and a thin coat of oil once or twice a year keeps the top rich.
Will the low mid-century profile suit a deep sofa?
Yes — the long, low lines are drawn for lounge-depth seating. If your sofa sits unusually low or tall, tell us its seat height when you order and we will match the table to it.
How are coffee tables delivered?
Coffee tables are made to order, wrapped, corner-blocked, and crated when size demands. Photograph the crate before the driver leaves; you get tracking at dispatch and a call before any freight delivery.
