Natural wood, one piece at a time

Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.

General care

These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Dimensions & assembly

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.

Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.

Shipping & returns

Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.

Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

Solid teak · Coffee table

Built for feet up and rings wiped

The piece

The table every evening lands on.

One flowing profile carries the top down through curved supports into an integrated lower shelf — a line the designers refined until it read calm from every seat. Top and shelf are solid teak through their full thickness, kiln-dried for twenty days before shaping, then sanded through five grits by hand.

A coffee table takes more contact than anything else in the house — heels, board games, the sweating glass nobody caught. Oil-finished teak is built for that arithmetic: rings wipe away, and the rare gouge spot-sands and re-oils at home in ten minutes. Three flat-pack tables from now, this one will still be holding the evening.

  • Feet up, mugs down — the oil finish spot-repairs at home
  • Books, board games, and the remote basket live within reach below
  • Open structure keeps a small living room feeling light
  • The elongated top runs the length of a sectional
  • Full-thickness solid teak — sand and re-oil it for decades

It fits real homes.

Lego week aftermath

Lego week aftermath

Saturday morning after a Lego-heavy week. Ten minutes, fine sandpaper, a rag of oil — Tuesday's gouge is gone and the surface reads like nothing happened. That is the whole argument for oil over lacquer.

December 26th

December 26th

The table has been buffet, bar, and puzzle headquarters since the twelfth. The morning after the third party in two weeks, the punch-bowl rings wipe off the oiled top and the host finally exhales.

The tail sweep

The tail sweep

A 60-pound dog clears the tabletop twice a night with a confident tail. Nobody yells, nothing needs rescuing, and the books ride out the evening on the shelf below — the wood was chosen for exactly this house.

Teak, up close.

Grain that reads quiet

Straight, close grain runs the length of the top and echoes on the shelf below. Run a palm across it and the surface reads buttery — the calm figure that made teak famous.

Grain that reads quiet

The finish nature applied

Teak's own oils are the reason a sweating glass leaves nothing behind. We hand-rub more into the top, deepening the gold to a satin that catches lamplight without ever going glossy.

The finish nature applied

Density you can feel

Lift one end and the math is obvious — about 44 pounds per cubic foot. With seasonal movement roughly half of oak's, the top and shelf stay flat from furnace season through August humidity.

Density you can feel

Golden now, silver whenever

Indoors the gold only deepens — silvering takes outdoor sun and rain. If the surface ever dulls near a bright window, a light sanding and fresh oil bring it back in an afternoon.

Golden now, silver whenever

From plank to piece.

The wood selection

The wood selection

Boards are pulled one at a time, sighted down their length for twist, and matched by tone across top and shelf. Checked or dull stock never makes the cut.

The shaping process

The shaping process

The flowing profile is traced from templates, then bandsawn slightly proud of the line — leaving material for the handwork that finishes each curved support.

The hand refinement

The hand refinement

Top, shelf, and supports pass through five grits of sandpaper by hand until every edge feels right against an open palm.

The final inspection

The final inspection

Oil goes on in thin coats, buffed between each. The maker checks level with a straightedge, tests the shelf fit, and signs the table out of the workshop.

One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

The Timber Vintique workshop

No two boards alike

The grain that arrives is yours alone.

  1. Every board is cut from a different tree — the photos here are a reference, not a promise.
  2. Your piece is photographed in the workshop before it ships, so you see your exact grain.
  3. Small knots and mineral streaks come with real wood. We leave them in.

Delivery, done properly.

White-glove option

Choose white-glove and the crew brings the piece inside, places it in the room, and removes every bit of packaging.

Crated for freight

Each piece travels in its own wooden crate with corner protection, built to cross the country without a scuff.

Scheduled window

You get a delivery appointment and tracking — not a truck that shows up unannounced.

Honest returns

30 days from payment. If it isn't right — unused, in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup. Made-to-order terms are stated up front.

Questions customers usually ask

Is the tabletop really solid wood?
Solid wood through the full thickness of the top — no veneer, no particleboard core. The proof is the test veneer cannot survive: this top can be sanded and refinished at home, and it weighs like it.
Can I adjust the size or height?
Standard sizes fit most sofas, but each table is built after you order, so length, height, and shape can be adjusted. Two inches lower for a deep sofa is a common request.
How much assembly is required?
Most designs arrive fully assembled; a few ship with legs off to protect them in transit. Those bolt on in minutes with the included key — no wordless diagrams, no leftover screw.
How do I care for the top?
Wipe spills when you see them; a white ring that does form lifts with a cloth and a warm dry iron in under a minute. A thin coat of oil once or twice a year keeps the top rich — the honest price of a finish you can repair yourself.
How are coffee tables delivered?
Made to order, wrapped, corner-blocked, and crated when size demands. You get tracking at dispatch and a heads-up before any freight delivery — photograph the packaging before signing if it looks knocked around, and we make anything wrong right.
What is the lower shelf for?
Anything you reach for from the sofa — current books, magazines, board games, the remote basket. The shelf is cut from the same solid teak as the top and carries a full stack without bowing.
