Natural wood, one piece at a time

Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.

General care

These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Dimensions & assembly

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.

Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.

Shipping & returns

Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.

Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

Solid teak · Coffee table

The slab the room gathers around

The piece

Plate I
Plate II

One slab, two pedestals, and the room finds its center.

One live-edge teak slab rides two sculptural pedestals, set back so the top appears to float. The setback is tuned for shins and sightlines; the slab is chosen for an outline worth keeping, flattened, and sanded until a resting forearm finds nothing to catch. Solid the full thickness — a knuckle tap sounds like wood, not a drum.

A coffee table takes more contact than anything else you own — sweating glasses, socked feet, the dog's tail twice a night. Oiled teak is built for exactly that traffic: rings wipe away in the morning, and a real scratch spot-sands out at home in ten minutes. Nothing here needs policing, which is the entire point of a living room.

  • Holds the movie-night spread with elbow room to spare
  • Floating top keeps floor sightlines open in small rooms
  • Pedestal setback means no shin strikes walking past
  • Rings and spills wipe off; scratches sand out at home
  • Reads as sculpture even when the room is a mess

It fits real homes.

Fourth quarter, dip central

Fourth quarter, dip central

Super Bowl Sunday, the seven-layer dip at center slab like a trophy, a sweating bottle ringing the corner nobody is watching, feet up at the two-minute warning. Monday it all wipes away with the crumbs.

Snow day board game

Snow day board game

A school snow day, the board unfolded across the flattest stretch of slab, the free-form outline deciding who sits where. Cocoa rings dry where they land; nobody in this house reaches for a coaster.

Saturday crossword

Saturday crossword

Saturday, eight a.m., coffee on the wide end and the crossword folded on a knee. The floating top leaves the floor visible underneath it, so even a small room gets to breathe.

Teak, up close.

Grain that reads quiet

Tight, straight grain runs the slab end to end inside its wild outline — and from sofa height, raking lamplight shows a depth of figure the photos flatten out.

Grain that reads quiet

The finish nature applied

Teak carries its own natural oils. We hand-rub more into the top, so a sweating glass leaves a ring that wipes off instead of a ghost that moved in.

The finish nature applied

Density you can feel

Roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, with about half oak's seasonal movement — the slab stays flat across both pedestals through furnace winters and window-open summers alike.

Density you can feel

Golden now, silver whenever

Indoors the top deepens from honey toward caramel over its first year — silvering needs outdoor rain and sun. A light sanding and fresh oil reset the gold whenever you choose.

Golden now, silver whenever

From plank to piece.

The wood selection

The wood selection

Slabs are chosen for a free-form outline worth keeping, then kiln-dried twenty days before the first cut. Checked or twisted stock never makes it to the bench.

The shaping process

The shaping process

The slab is flattened and both pedestal bases cut slightly proud of the line, leaving material for the handwork that finishes each curve.

The hand refinement

The hand refinement

The natural edge is cleaned and softened by hand, the top sanded through five grits until it feels right under a resting arm.

The final inspection

The final inspection

Oil goes on in thin coats, buffed between each. The maker checks level across both pedestals before the table is signed out of the workshop.

One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

The Timber Vintique workshop

No two boards alike

The grain that arrives is yours alone.

  1. Every board is cut from a different tree — the photos here are a reference, not a promise.
  2. Your piece is photographed in the workshop before it ships, so you see your exact grain.
  3. Small knots and mineral streaks come with real wood. We leave them in.

Delivery, done properly.

White-glove option

Choose white-glove and the crew brings the piece inside, places it in the room, and removes every bit of packaging.

Crated for freight

Each piece travels in its own wooden crate with corner protection, built to cross the country without a scuff.

Scheduled window

You get a delivery appointment and tracking — not a truck that shows up unannounced.

Honest returns

30 days from payment. If it isn't right — unused, in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup. Made-to-order terms are stated up front.

Questions customers usually ask

Is the tabletop really solid wood?
Solid teak through the full thickness — no veneer, no particleboard core anywhere. That is why the top can be re-sanded and re-oiled for decades, a repair no veneer skin survives, and why it never sounds hollow when tapped.
Can I adjust the size or height?
Standard sizes fit most sofas, but each table is built after you order, so length, height, and shape can be adjusted. Two inches lower for a deep sofa is a common request.
How much assembly is required?
Most designs arrive fully assembled — off the truck as a finished table. A few ship with the pedestals off to protect them in transit; those bolt on in minutes with the included key, no separate tools needed.
How do I care for the top?
Coasters help but are not a rule; wipe spills when you see them and dry the surface. A thin coat of oil once or twice a year keeps the top rich — and if a white ring ever sets, a cloth and a warm dry iron lift it in under a minute.
How are coffee tables delivered?
Made to order, wrapped, corner-blocked, and crated when size demands. You get tracking at dispatch and a heads-up before any freight delivery; photograph the packaging before the driver leaves and note anything on the receipt — if transit damage happens, we make it right.
How stable is a top on two pedestals?
Very. The pedestals are positioned under the slab's weight centers, so the table sits planted even with a lean on one end. The floating look comes from the setback of the bases, not from any compromise in support.
