Natural wood, one piece at a time

Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.

General care

These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Dimensions & assembly

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.

Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.

Shipping & returns

Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.

Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

Solid teak · Coffee table

The last coffee table you buy

The piece

Plate I
Plate II

A coffee table with a grain no factory could repeat.

The design holds back so the wood can speak: classic lines, a low profile, proportions tuned to sofas of every depth. The boards are the event — solid teak chosen for figure that belongs to this one build, kiln-dried for twenty days, then shaped, sanded through five grits, and oiled by hand.

If the last coffee table arrived flat in a box and left three years later at the curb, this is the correction. A full-thickness solid top can be sanded and re-oiled at home for decades, so the money is spent once — and the grain in the middle of your living room repeats nowhere else.

  • Holds coffee, books, and week-long projects at once
  • Grain pattern exists on this build alone
  • Low profile keeps sightlines across the room open
  • Scratches sand out and re-oil at home
  • Plays well with the wood you already own

It fits real homes.

The week-long puzzle

The week-long puzzle

A thousand pieces spread across the top on Monday stay there until the last one lands on Sunday. The table gives the family a project a screen cannot interrupt.

Ten-minute repair

Ten-minute repair

Saturday morning after a Lego-heavy week: fine sandpaper, a rag of oil, and Tuesday's gouge is gone. The surface reads like nothing happened, because in ten minutes, nothing did.

Moving day. The movers wrap the teak table in blankets like it matters, because it does. The flat-pack bookcase stays at the curb with a FREE sign.

Made to order

Every piece is made to order, and dimensions vary from one to the next. Need a different size for your space? Tell us your measurements and we'll build it to fit.

Teak, up close.

Grain that reads quiet

Tight, straight grain runs the top's length with figure that belongs to this board alone — hold the website photo next to your table and you will see two different signatures.

Grain that reads quiet

The finish nature applied

Teak carries its own natural oils; we hand-rub more into top and legs. A palm across it finds warm satin, and a sweating glass leaves a ring that wipes away by morning.

The finish nature applied

Density you can feel

At roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, the top arrives heavy enough to make the movers comment. Twenty days in the kiln means the boards finished their moving before the first cut.

Density you can feel

Golden now, silver whenever

Indoors the tone deepens toward caramel year over year — the table in year ten reads richer than the one delivered. A light sanding and fresh oil reset the gold whenever you choose.

Golden now, silver whenever

From plank to piece.

The wood selection

The wood selection

Boards are pulled one at a time by selectors with thirty years at the stacks, matched by tone and grain across the top. Twist or checks never make the cut.

The shaping process

The shaping process

The classic profile is traced from templates, then bandsawn slightly proud of the line — spare wood the handwork takes back at the bench.

The hand refinement

The hand refinement

Top and legs are sanded by hand through five grits until each eased edge feels right against an open palm, not merely looks right.

The final inspection

The final inspection

Oil goes on in thin coats, buffed between each. The maker racks the joints by hand, sets a level on the top, and signs it out.

One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

The Timber Vintique workshop

No two boards alike

The grain that arrives is yours alone.

  1. Every board is cut from a different tree — the photos here are a reference, not a promise.
  2. Your piece is photographed in the workshop before it ships, so you see your exact grain.
  3. Small knots and mineral streaks come with real wood. We leave them in.

Delivery, done properly.

White-glove option

Choose white-glove and the crew brings the piece inside, places it in the room, and removes every bit of packaging.

Crated for freight

Each piece travels in its own wooden crate with corner protection, built to cross the country without a scuff.

Scheduled window

You get a delivery appointment and tracking — not a truck that shows up unannounced.

Honest returns

30 days from payment. If it isn't right — unused, in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup. Made-to-order terms are stated up front.

Questions customers usually ask

Is the tabletop really solid wood?
Solid wood through the full thickness of the top — no veneer, so a chipped corner never exposes particleboard, and the surface can be sanded and refinished for generations. Teak's oils handle the sweating glass on top of that.
Can I adjust the size or height?
Each table is built after you order, so length, height, and shape can be adjusted. Measure the sofa and the walkway around it; two inches lower for a deep sofa is a common request.
How much assembly is required?
Most designs arrive fully assembled; a few ship with legs off to protect them in transit. Those bolt on in minutes with the included key — the piece was built whole and ships as close to whole as freight allows.
How do I care for the top?
Wipe spills when you see them and re-oil once or twice a year when the top looks thirsty — ten minutes with a rag. Felt pads under anything that slides, and dust off grit before it works like sandpaper.
How are coffee tables delivered?
Coffee tables are made to order, wrapped, corner-blocked, and crated when size demands. Tracking arrives at dispatch, and freight deliveries are scheduled with you before the truck is booked.
Will my table's grain match the photos?
Closely in tone, never exactly in figure — the boards for your table are selected and matched at build time, so the grain pattern is yours alone. That variation is the point of solid wood, not a flaw in it.
