Natural wood, one piece at a time

Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.

General care

These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Dimensions & assembly

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.

Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.

Shipping & returns

Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.

Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

Solid teak · Console table

The hall table that runs the household

The piece

Plate I
Plate II

Thirty inches of farmhouse calm at the door.

Our designers sized this console for real entries: thirty inches of top, a twelve-inch depth that leaves the hallway walkable, a height that meets a reaching hand. An artisan selects each teak board for its grain, keeps the edges honest, and shapes and oils the piece entirely by hand. Solid teak throughout, no laminate to peel at a corner.

An entry table takes more abuse than any piece its size — wet gloves, dripping umbrellas, keys tossed hard, a leash yanked off it daily. The particleboard version swells and loosens within a year; this one wears the traffic into warmth instead. Golden teak against soft creams is the farmhouse warmth people actually want, no barn-door kitsch required.

  • Compact 30-inch width suits apartments and small entries
  • Twelve-inch depth keeps the doorway path clear to walk
  • Top height meets a hand holding keys and the mail
  • Carries a lamp for a lit welcome after a dark commute
  • Oiled teak takes wet gloves, leashes, and weather in stride

It fits real homes.

The school-run shuffle

The school-run shuffle

7:50 a.m.: two lunch boxes, one permission slip, and the car keys, all lined up on the teak. One kid fights a shoe by the door, and the whole family clears the house in thirty seconds. The morning launch has a runway now.

Season by season

Season by season

Dahlias in September, pine branches by December, a bowl of lemons come June. The styling turns over with the calendar; the table underneath never has to, taking each vase of dripping stems without a water mark.

Grandparents at the door

Grandparents at the door

Family arriving for the weekend set their bags down, find the newest school portrait among the framed photos kept here, and the visit starts warm — a grandmother's hand resting a moment on the grain.

Teak, up close.

Grain that reads quiet

Tight, straight, even grain runs the length of the top — the calm figure that made teak the wood collectors ask for by name. Golden against soft cream walls, it carries farmhouse warmth without a hint of distress or kitsch.

Grain that reads quiet

The finish nature applied

Teak carries its own oils. We hand-rub more into the top and legs for a warm satin that never feels like plastic, and shrugs off a dripping umbrella or a set of wet winter gloves.

The finish nature applied

Density you can feel

At roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, with some of the lowest shrinkage of any hardwood, the entry-duty top holds flat when the front door lets in January cold and forced-air dryness all winter.

Density you can feel

Golden now, silver whenever

Left alone the top mellows toward a soft silver-grey — a skin-deep change only. A light sanding and fresh oil bring the gold back anytime, so years of keys and leashes never wear through to ruin.

Golden now, silver whenever

From plank to piece.

The wood selection

The wood selection

Boards are pulled one at a time by a selector with decades at the lumber stacks, matched by tone and grain across the piece. Twisted or dull stock never qualifies.

The shaping process

The shaping process

The farmhouse frame is traced from templates, then bandsawn a hair proud of the line, leaving material for the final handwork.

The hand refinement

The hand refinement

Top and edges are sanded through five successive grits until every corner feels right against an open palm, not merely looks right.

The final inspection

The final inspection

Oil goes on in thin coats, buffed between each. The maker checks joints, a level stance, and finish before the console ships.

One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

The Timber Vintique workshop

No two boards alike

The grain that arrives is yours alone.

  1. Every board is cut from a different tree — the photos here are a reference, not a promise.
  2. Your piece is photographed in the workshop before it ships, so you see your exact grain.
  3. Small knots and mineral streaks come with real wood. We leave them in.

Delivery, done properly.

White-glove option

Choose white-glove and the crew brings the piece inside, places it in the room, and removes every bit of packaging.

Crated for freight

Each piece travels in its own wooden crate with corner protection, built to cross the country without a scuff.

Scheduled window

You get a delivery appointment and tracking — not a truck that shows up unannounced.

Honest returns

30 days from payment. If it isn't right — unused, in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup. Made-to-order terms are stated up front.

Questions customers usually ask

What are the console tables made from?
Each console is solid teak — often a single continuous slab for the top — with no veneer or particleboard core to swell by a humid door. Hand-finished so grain and natural edges stay part of the piece, and the top re-oils for decades.
Will it fit a small entryway?
This build is 30 inches wide, 30 tall, and just 12 deep — drawn for compact entries. Because every console is made to order, width and depth still adjust to your wall; measure your narrowest doorway before ordering.
Will I need to assemble it?
Most consoles arrive assembled. Designs with sculptural bases ship in two parts that join with pre-fitted bolts — a ten-minute job for one person with the included key, and no leftover screw.
What care does a console need?
Dust with a soft cloth and wipe water from vases and umbrellas promptly; a white ring lifts with a cloth and a warm, dry iron in seconds. An annual oiling keeps the top ready for the keys, mail, and hands it greets daily.
How is a console packed?
Every console is made to order and packed in a fitted crate or double-walled carton with rigid corner guards. Photograph the box before the driver leaves; tracking is emailed the day it ships, and we make any damage right.
