Natural wood, one piece at a time

Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.

General care

These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Dimensions & assembly

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.

Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.

Shipping & returns

Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.

Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

Solid teak · Floating vanity shelf

Cut to your wall, edged by nature

The piece

Plate I
Plate II

A vanity shelf built to your inch, not ours.

Custom is the whole point. You send the width of your wall and the basin you have chosen; a thirty-year selector pulls a teak slab whose live edge suits the room, and twenty days in a controlled kiln settle it before it ever meets shower steam. It is cut to your measurements and drilled for your exact fixtures — back and sides straight for a clean fit, the front left wild.

Builder-grade bathrooms all wear the same laminate box. A slab cut to your wall to the inch turns that box into a room with a point of view, and teak's own oils stand up to the daily steam a bathroom throws at wood. Every morning at the mirror starts with real grain under your hands instead of plastic.

  • Cut to your wall's width, to the inch
  • Drilled for your exact basin and faucet before shipping
  • Straight back and sides fit flush; live edge in front
  • Floats on a hidden rail — no legs, no cabinet
  • Teak's own oils stand up to daily steam

It fits real homes.

The one-day upgrade

The one-day upgrade

The old cabinet goes out Saturday morning; the slab goes up on its rail by noon. By the time the plumber packs up, the bathroom looks ten years newer than it did at breakfast — one weekend, one wall.

The morning stations

The morning stations

Seven-fifteen, both of you at the mirror — razor at one end, hair ties at the other, a coffee balanced on the corner. The open shelf holds the whole negotiated territory with no drawer to jam or slam.

Sunday-night soak

Sunday-night soak

Sunday night, bath running, phone left in the other room. A candle and a folded towel sit on the teak, and the live edge flickers in the low light like it remembers being outdoors.

Teak, up close.

Grain that reads quiet

Tight, straight, even grain runs the full custom width of the shelf — the calm figure that made teak the wood collectors ask for by name. Shower steam beads and rolls rather than soaking in.

Grain that reads quiet

The finish nature applied

Teak carries its own natural oils — the reason it belongs in a bathroom. We hand-rub more into the top and live edge, deepening the gold to a warm satin that stays warm underhand when the tile has gone cold.

The finish nature applied

Density you can feel

At roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, with some of the lowest shrinkage of any hardwood, the slab carries a basin without flex and stays true through years of steam and the fan's daily swing.

Density you can feel

Golden now, silver whenever

Indoors, teak deepens toward honey rather than graying — silvering takes outdoor sun and rain. A light sanding and fresh oil bring the shelf's gold back anytime.

From plank to piece.

The wood selection

The wood selection

Selectors with thirty years at the stacks pull teak slabs one at a time to match your width and the character you want, then dry them twenty days in a controlled kiln. Twisted, checked, or dull stock never makes the cut.

The shaping process

The shaping process

The slab is cut to your dimensions, back and sides squared, the live edge preserved — with sink and faucet openings placed to your fixtures.

The hand refinement

The hand refinement

Top, underside, and the natural edge are sanded through successive grits until the front feels right against an open palm.

The final inspection

The final inspection

Oil goes on in thin coats, buffed between each. The maker test-fits the rail and checks your cutouts before the shelf ships.

One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

The Timber Vintique workshop

No two boards alike

The grain that arrives is yours alone.

  1. Every board is cut from a different tree — the photos here are a reference, not a promise.
  2. Your piece is photographed in the workshop before it ships, so you see your exact grain.
  3. Small knots and mineral streaks come with real wood. We leave them in.

Delivery, done properly.

White-glove option

Choose white-glove and the crew brings the piece inside, places it in the room, and removes every bit of packaging.

Crated for freight

Each piece travels in its own wooden crate with corner protection, built to cross the country without a scuff.

Scheduled window

You get a delivery appointment and tracking — not a truck that shows up unannounced.

Honest returns

30 days from payment. If it isn't right — unused, in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup. Made-to-order terms are stated up front.

Questions customers usually ask

Why teak for a wall-hung vanity?
Wall-hung and built from solid teak — the one furniture wood commercial spas and steam rooms are made from. Its natural oils and silica resist steam, splash, and humidity by nature, so it stays put where lesser hardwoods swell and darken.
What widths and cutouts are available?
Widths are built to order from about 24 to 72 inches, with the sink cutout drilled to your basin and faucet. Send fixture spec sheets with your order and the openings arrive placed, not guessed.
What does installation require?
A concealed steel hanging rail carries the vanity and must anchor into studs or blocking. Plumbing uses standard US fittings — most plumbers finish in under an hour, with no wall rebuild.
How do I keep the teak golden?
Wipe standing water after use and run the fan; black spots on bath teak are mildew feeding on soap film, not the wood itself. A light re-oiling every few months keeps a daily-shower shelf golden — less often in a powder room.
How is the vanity delivered?
Every shelf is made to order and freight-crated with the rail, hardware, and templates inside. Photograph the crate before signing and note any damage; tracking and a scheduled delivery window come with every order.
How does the live edge affect my measurements?
The back and sides are cut straight to your wall, so fit is exact where it matters; the front follows the tree, which means depth varies a little along the length. This build starts at 16 by 18 inches, and we confirm your basin's footprint clears the narrowest point before cutting.
