These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Dimensions & assembly
Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.
Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.
Shipping & returns
Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.
Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

The piece
A bench that makes the entry a room of its own.
One continuous teak seat rides on gracefully curved legs — a profile the designers pared down until nothing extra remained. Each artisan selects the board for its grain, shapes the sweep of the legs by hand, and sands the seat until it invites a palm before it invites a coat. Solid stock throughout, through-joined where a flat-pack bench would hide a hanger bolt.
The entry takes the roughest traffic in the house — wet boots, dropped bags, a kid landing hard twice a day. A veneer seat chips and a wobbly one loosens by spring; this one is dense teak dried twenty days before it was built, so it plants under all of it without a shudder. Against the wall, it turns the busiest three feet of the house into a composed first impression.

Teak, up close.
Grain that reads quiet
Tight, straight, even grain runs the full length of the unbroken seat — the calm figure that made teak the wood collectors ask for by name. It warms a landlord-beige entry the moment it goes against the wall.
The finish nature applied
Teak carries its own natural oils. We hand-rub more into the seat and curved legs, deepening the golden tone to a warm satin that sheds the road salt and wet-boot drips an entry sees all winter.
Density you can feel
At roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, with shrinkage about half that of oak, the seat stays flat and planted through years of daily sitting and the winter humidity swing that racks softer benches loose.
Golden now, silver whenever
Left outdoors, teak weathers to a paper-thin silver-grey. Indoors it deepens toward honey instead; a light sanding and fresh oil bring the bench's gold back whenever boots and bags dull the seat.
From plank to piece.
The wood selection
The seat board is chosen by thirty-year selectors for grain that runs clean end to end, then kiln-dried twenty days. Stock with twist, checks, or dull figure never makes the cut.
The shaping process
The curved legs are traced from templates, then bandsawn slightly proud of the line — leaving material for the sweep to be trued by hand.
The hand refinement
Seat and leg curves are sanded through five grits until edges feel right against the back of bare knees, not merely look right.
The final inspection
Oil goes on in thin coats, buffed between each. The maker sits, rocks, and checks the stance before the bench leaves the workshop.
One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.

30 days from payment. If it isn't right — unused, in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup. Made-to-order terms are stated up front.
Questions customers usually ask
How much weight can a bench hold?
Built from thick solid-wood stock with through-joinery, it seats two to three adults and is conservatively rated well above 500 pounds across the seat. The weight in your hands on delivery is the proof — solid reads on a scale.
What wood and finish do you use?
Most benches are solid teak or acacia, hand-sanded and finished with penetrating oil rather than a plastic-feeling film, so the wood stays warm to the touch and spot-repairs at home instead of needing a refinisher.
Do benches need assembly?
Nearly all benches arrive fully assembled — off the truck as a finished bench. A few long designs ship with legs removed to survive transit; they bolt on with the included key in about ten minutes.
How do I keep the seat looking good?
Wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry. An entry bench sees boots and bags, so refresh the oil once or twice a year; a scuff or gouge spot-sands out in ten minutes rather than becoming permanent.
How are benches packed for delivery?
Every bench is made to order, blanket-wrapped, corner-protected, and boxed or crated by size. Photograph the packaging before the driver leaves and note any damage; we pack for the occasional rough handling of freight and make it right if it arrives hurt.
Can this bench work outside the entryway?
Yes — the curved profile sits just as naturally at the foot of a bed, under a window, or along a dining table's open side. Many owners move it seasonally.
