Wood grain, knots, edge contours, and color naturally vary from piece to piece. Product images show the expected character rather than an identical grain pattern.
These products are not waterproof. Their durable wood-and-finish construction is designed to handle ordinary accidental spills when liquid is wiped up promptly. Avoid standing water, soaking, submersion, and harsh cleaners.

Exact dimensions for each size are listed on the option you select above. Most pieces arrive fully assembled; wall-mounted designs include hardware and a template. Measure doorways and stair turns before ordering — most pieces pass a standard 32-inch doorway.
Care: wipe with a soft, dry cloth and oil the grain once or twice a year to keep the surface nourished.
Your piece ships free in a protective wooden crate. Freight delivery comes with a scheduled window and tracking; white-glove service — carried inside, placed, packaging removed — is available at checkout.
Returns: 30 days from payment. Pieces need to be unused and in original condition — we arrange the freight pickup and walk you through repacking. Damaged or defective on arrival? We repair, replace or refund at no cost. Made-to-order pieces can be changed or cancelled while the build has not started.

The piece
The top is a continuous run of solid teak with its natural character left in view, not a printed grain over a particleboard core that a chipped corner would expose. The boards are dried twenty days in a controlled kiln, so the surface holds flat through a heated winter. Its forty-inch length on a slim twelve-inch depth serves halls and living rooms alike, the slab trued and oiled by hand.
Teak's honey-to-caramel middle tone is the diplomat between pale oak and dark walnut, so it plays well with the wood you already own. Against a painted wall it reads clean and modern; under old brick it reads warm and rustic — the same table, carrying the room either way. It is the piece a guest rests a hand on without noticing they have, and the one that will not look dated in five years.
When the dining table fills up on a Saturday night, the console takes overflow duty — two open bottles, the dessert waiting under a cloth, the coffee cups staged for later. Condensation rings from the wine wipe off the oiled teak before the guests have their coats.
Five frames hang above it, and the console holds the sixth — the photo that changes with the season, propped against the wall beside a low 2700K lamp. The warm bulb catches the grain each evening and the whole corner reads deliberate.
The farmers-market stems land in the same vase on the same teak every Friday afternoon in summer. Water beads on the surface and wipes away; by the time the blooms fade, next week's bunch is already on the list.

Tight, straight, even grain runs the full length of the slab — the calm figure that made teak the wood collectors ask for by name, its honey tone the bridge between the light and dark woods already in the room.
Teak carries its own natural oils. Artisans hand-rub more into the top and base, deepening the golden tone to a warm satin that catches lamplight — a finish that arrives smelling of wood, with nothing to off-gas into the living room.
At roughly 700 kilograms per cubic meter, with some of the lowest shrinkage of any hardwood, the console top stays flat and true when forced-air heat pulls a room into the low-twenties humidity through winter.
Left outdoors, teak weathers to a refined silver-grey — a surface change only. Indoors it warms toward caramel over its first sunlit months, and a light sanding and fresh oil bring the slab back to gold anytime.
Slabs are pulled one at a time by a thirty-year selector for grain worth leaving in view. Stock with twist, hidden checks, or dull figure never makes the cut.
The top and base are cut slightly proud of their lines, leaving material for the handwork that gives each edge its profile.
Every surface is sanded by hand through five successive grits until the edges feel right against an open palm, not merely look right.
Oil goes on in thin coats, buffed between each. The maker checks joints, level, and finish before the console is signed out.
One maker follows each piece from rough plank to the final coat of oil, and signs off before it is crated.
